I had high hopes for him but as time went on he seemed to get slower. I bear him no ill will and wish him all the best in his new career. Nevertheless I'm glad he's gone.

Genuinely this is amazing business. To get that much for a player who has completely flopped is brilliant. It will be worth even more if the early money brought in allows us to keep one of our three jewels (Ramsdale, Fernandes or Dibling).

Thank god we got him off our books before we reaped the benefit of putting up with him struggling whilst developing. 

Stewards enquiry into the use of the word ‘developing’ please. Surely you do have to actually develop in order to be ‘developing’, rather than just being consistently sh*te, whilst under the age of 25.
