Doyle and Ballard

Ripping Norwich U23s apart - yet neither can get even on the bench for our s***e 1st team with dross like Moi and the Armstrongs preferred.

It sounds like we may lose the best of our youngsters coming through  - the pathway has been blocked by dross and this reflects really poorly on Ankerson and the club as a whole.

Our club is rotten to the core

Definitely Ankersons fault that 3 managers haven't thrown them into a relegation battle. Definitely. They'll both be better off being part of a fresh start next season and both be better off for focusing on getting promotion with the B team. No good could have come from throwing them into the first team at any stage this year.

Seems mad spunking up money for likes of Mara and Edozie, when we got kids like Ballard and Doyle that cost nowt!

And it’s posts like this that sums up exactly why throwing Ballard and Doyle into the first team would have only done damage to them.

Couple of poor performances in a shit season and that’s it, you’re written off.

I can see where you're coming from. There's no excuse next season though.

Absoulute bollocks !  Could easily have been given minutes this season ! Like i said we did not need to spend money on the likes of Mara ,Edozie etc as it is blocking their path to the first team 1

You're writing off Mara and Edozie. If you swapped those for Ballard and Doyle and those two had performed like Mara and Edozie you would be writing off those two and wanting more minutes for Mara and Edozie who would been performing in the B team.

It's not fair sticking kids in this situation, especially ones who are 2 and 3 years younger than kids that are being written off.

We’ve seen all this before with DMG, Obafemi and N’Lundulu all slamming them in for the youth team. None were ready for first team football and I’d wage none of our current youngsters are either. Yet.

This is my view. You have to be an extreme talent to go straight from the academy into the Premier League and not look out of place. Only Shaw, Livramento and Lavia have really managed it here in recent years and we signed two of those from other elite clubs. Shaw has reached the top, Lavia is a full Belgium international and is going to the top, while Livramento has been pushed back through injury.

Can add Jankewitz to your list. A player raved about in the academy, came out and said he wanted first team football. Got the first team football, was sent off within the first couple of minutes and now at 21 and two years later he is being loaned out to the Swiss second division.

Nobody actually knows how good Doyle/Ballard are, bar the coaches. They get good numbers in youth football and the highlights are really all we get to see of them. Professional mens football is just a big leap from the level they're playing at, when watching those highlights.

Think blooding them in next season when we're a level lower will be the best for them, like we saw with Lallana.

Think you missed out Ward Prowse from your list. Also could argue that Callum Chambers made the step up  as he was doing pretty well at RB under Pochettino before he left for Arsenal.
