Blimey, were you really expecting anything from the forum punchbag? The bloke is a made up character I think. he never makes sensible replies to anyone or anything. he just tries to be funny, but fails at that also. As likely you know, this is the way of the left. I remember well when the Tories took over after Labour last time, that they blamed Labour for the financial mess the country was it. ALL lefties I knew were all over them for this. But it is OK now for them to use that excuse. The left are chronic hypocrites. They also never listen and as soon as you prove their limited knowledge wrong, they make jokes and berate as they have nothing to say. I have caught out so many on here doing the same thing, then they get nasty when you tie them up in knots.

For the record, I hate them all and do not consider myself right or left. None of them give a flying fook about the masses. To believe they do is to be an idealistic teenager, which most lefties are.

I've never seen you get close to even making a decent point, let alone tying anyone up in knots.

However, I'm not sure if you make up scenarios to prove your point though as was admitted to have happened above?

Yes buddy of course. Try in engage in adult talk and that’s what you’ve got. That’s it - no intelligent response just that.. First time I have ever engaged with chat on this forum and many have absolutely no idea about commercial reality. Yet they want a seat at the table of debate.

Sorry buddy - law and economic degree - you have no idea about the reality of economics. I’ve met people with amazing degrees from top unis but I’ve never employed them. I’ve noticed you call everyone else liars but apparently you are legitimate.

Wasn’t aware that I did tbh. Like most on here, @Farmer Saint included, I agree with some posts and not with others, but I try to rationalise why I do/don't. Sometimes people will agree with my response, sometimes they won’t. And sometimes I find I agree with people on football but less on non-football and vice versa.

First league win since February - enjoy it!

Are you one of these cunts on Netflix documentaries “selling blah blah” where you come across as some shallow insecure fucker worried about how white your teeth are, on the misapprehension that you actually have any skills that people need?

Sorry, who did I call a "c bomb"?

The problem you have is you've come on here playing the big "I am", telling everyone they know nothing about economics, whilst also displaying a horrendous grasp of economics and tax law. You've also admitted to lying about the examples you're coming up with about people moving to Dubai (I'm still waiting on how they are saving tax when all their assets and businesses are in the UK, which was the reason you said they were moving).

Whelk has a very cultured way with words when he wants to. He is not stupid, and he is not a chav. However, he does not tolerate a fool. Unfortunately you have ventured into that territory.

Seriously I can’t explain future tax constraints again to you. You might say your online friend is a business or cultural expert. He isn’t. Neither are you.

How do you think Nissan at Sunderland, Honda at Swindon and Toyota in Derbyshire appeared as UK plants during the 1980s?

Hint - it was through considerable subsidy from the Thatcher government. Which was the right decision and thing to do btw.

SMEs win tens of millions in R&D grants to help prove concepts for new products and services to sell to market from Innovate UK. Sometimes partnering with universities and colleges, sometimes not.

And plenty of companies were happy to take subsidies to stay afloat during Covid and have a duty to repay the taxpayer during the rest of this decade for keeping the roof over their heads so they keep our roads and infrastructure running.

And the Met as a brand has been fucked for decades.

But, but they're not elderly peace campaigners, they're all terrorist hate marchers....said no sane person ever.

Nah. Why would I? Fuckwits on e-scooters and gap years, vandalising shit...

Do you support the government cracking down on peaceful protest?

Do you still believe that Israel is entitled to do whatever it takes in the name of self-defence, including murdering thousands of medical staff and 200 journalists, to facilitate and attempt to hide their ethnic-cleansing of Gaza?

Take them away from politics and most MPs are the same.

During one Labour conference in Blackpool, a schools concert orchestra our daughter played in was behind the scenes between sets, they played in the hall during breaks in the debates. Tony Blair and Gordon Brown joined them for a chat, Blair brought the biscuits and Brown poured the cups of tea.

Question for both @Sir Ralph and @east-stand-nic, as Sir Ralph said he couldn't answer this the other day (even though they are his millionaire acquaintance's)

What would be the tax advantage for someone who's assets and businesses are UK based, to move to Dubai? On what taxes are they saving money?

I just want to see if either of you have an understanding of how it all works.

Do ever read any posts? It is you who seems desperate to group everyone as a leftie. Anyone can see vast range of different views amongst us although pretty much united in agreeing Nic is an idiot.

Must be much more fun for you talking with your greedy selfish sad tax exile wannabes bemoaning the left.

I have debated or even "held a frank exchange of views" with plenty on here, even Guided Missile on occasion. Go back and read the Brexit thread for one.

The only ones avoiding debate seem to be you and Nic, crying about an 'echo chamber' rather than attempting to engage when you know you have nothing to contribute.

Don’t, because my wife has met him through work and was very impressed with how he interacted with everyone and on health and social care seriously knows his stuff.

Also, gets a big tick and pint of something strong in the real ale department from me for cleaning up the enormous economic projectile vomit by Liz Truss and the wretched Institute of Economic Affairs.

Firstly your question was whether I know people that had left. I explained the people that I did. You then asked why they did. I don’t know the ins and outs of their business and tax structuring details other than one key reason relates to future investments abroad and driven by Labour policy. Neither am I an accountant. It wasn’t the basis of the question originally. If it matters I’ll ask and let you know.

you asked for details of people I know and I gave them. I didn’t know many, if any, that had left before. You’ll say it’s rubbish and I don’t know them and I’m making it up. Course you will so what’s the point cause my experience doesn’t fit your narrative
