number 9...no away fans allowed due to stadium rebuilding

9 Correct no away fans (I was there!

So was I! Live in Newcastle so used a mates Season Ticket and went in the home end.

Stayed incognito until MLT's free kick sailed past a motionless Hooper...

Jacket off - shirt out. Longest 7 minutes plus injury time of my life!

Still don't know how I got out of St James alive that day.

I'm sure the sweets were cola flavoured, a bit mushy round the edges and rock hard in the middle. Maybe that was just the east stand upper.

Talking of which, anyone else remember the bloke who played OWTS on northumbrian pipes in the East Stand Upper Centre? Imagine he would be barred from bringing them into SMS these days.

I was there with 2 others too in the Gallogate end (one was studying in Newcastle at the time and had queued up to get tickets)... very hard to remain silent when the free-kick went in! It was funny to hear the players celebrating in a completely silent ground, they all sounded more squeaky than Alan Ball :-)

Great set of questions!
