And if saints don’t do it presumably you will be one of the first on here complaining that they “ don’t listen” to fans.
I agree it’s largely a PR exercise in being seen to listen and being open with supporters. I also agree that nothing said will change playing policy - nor Beer policy😵‍💫. BUT for those that want to get some insight into what our new Manager is really like it’s a great opportunity to ask him a direct question with a follow up. I will go to watch and listen intently to his response (s) and hence to make up my own mind about the measure of the man.

As you recognise, it’s a PR exercise therefore as I’m a realist when it comes to such matters, my expectations regarding any outcomes from the event are low. In fact I’ve attended one of these events in the past and at a time when I had more belief in the people at the top table. That meeting was as useful as chocolate teapot back then too!

Look, I do recognise everyone deserves the opportunity to attend these events if their heart desires - I’ve just learnt over the years that the best PR ‘stunt’ the club can pull off is putting out a decent team to win a good proportion of their games. That floats my boat.

It'll be a good listen, but never expect anything too ground-breaking.

It would be good to hear some uncomfortable questions put to the likes of Parsons if he's there, but I think it'll be centered around Spors and Still as the new people in the building - so it'll only be good news stories.

Its like planning permission meeting for housing estate or motorway it's all agreed already so one of those have to do tick box exercises. Did anyone raise the issue of passing back rather than concentrating on scoring goals.

They are by and large a PR exercise of course, but I generally enjoy listening. I think the panel try to be as open as possible, but the thing that always irks me is the number of idiotic questions from the floor - either irrelevant or too specific “why are you playing xxx?”. Also, people love giving long winded intros to their questions which no one wants to hear, and wastes time.

I hope Blackmore vets the questions, weeds out the ridiculous ones, and manages the floor better this time.

I only listen to these forums to find out if any season ticket holders are in the audience. And if so, how long they have held those season tickets.

Specific questions like “why did you play ‘so and so’ in a particular game?”, “why are the shirts so expensive?”, “can we get better beer in the concourses?”. And yes, I’ve actually heard all of these questions before…
