Paul_B Posted yesterday at 15:25 Posted yesterday at 15:25 I'm sure it's already been said many times, but 3 goals from 3 shots outside the box! Who knew?? Been such a long time!

This moment yesterday sums him up perfectly. https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxr9pOi3mnE29Q0pLsfqGboNvzyeKtU4dk?si=-7kNzcZVeHwcGu1T He falls over a lot. He's not good to us lying on the ground. There's an old football saying, "Stay on your feet"

davefizzy14 Posted yesterday at 16:57 Posted yesterday at 16:57 (edited) Absolutely fantastic yesterday we were 😊 we are scoring goals for fun. Leo was sensational again yesterday - he's just an amazing player 😊 Adam Armstrong - another brace for Arma 😊 Azaz - five goals in six games now for Finn 😊 Fellows, Downes, Jander, and the three centre backs were all very good too 😊 Manning was good 😊 Bazunu made some key saves too 😊 Edited yesterday at 17:05 by davefizzy14 3

Their keeper also made two absolutely terrific saves (the one tipping it around the post was top class) not to mention preventing Archer score on the one on one. 1

Its cheating and I hate seeing our players do it. I guess thats the game these days. 4

We only notice the ones that aren't covered by a team mate (its a team game) or ones made by a player we don't like. 1

However saying that Manning isn't clever enough to do it and several times has been caught out. He falls over too easily when a tackle is needed instead.
skintsaint Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Wanted to see that Aribo yellow on the extended highlights but of course they cut it.

The ref played the advantage and should have pulled it back for the foul. Should he ?? As I saw it on their video the ref let the play flow, the fouled player passed or released the ball to a teammate - at this point he’d played the advantage - but the player receiving the ball was then tackled. Should he stop the game at this point, and call it back for their free kick, or is it a second or separate phase of the game ? Perhaps the Brum fans think he should have played on, but then brought it back for their free kick if they didn’t eventually score from it. 1

It's one of those that you can argue either way. He was clearly grabbed by Azaz, he stumbled, got his feet back, then having done so he had to bring the ball back into his stride as it had gone slightly behind him (whilst he was finding his feet) and that touch allowed Downes to close the space and make the tackle. The ref had signalled play on, because Azaz was no longer a factor and Roberts had found his feet, but he immediately lost the ball after he had made the signal. If he has signalled play on, does that prevent him calling it back (I'm never up to speed on the laws of the game)? If not, I don't think Saints fans would have gone mental if he had called it back for the foul. You win some, you lose some. I'm sure we will have one go against us at their place. 1

suewhistle Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago When it happened I wasn't entirely sure but wouldn't have been surprised with a red. I was certainly muttering something to myself like 'Aribo, you idiot!'..

Reminded me a bit of the lunging tackle by Djenepo (?) v Newcastle shortly before lockdown. Looked 50:50 at the match but definitely ‘studs first’ when seeing it back. Perhaps Aribo is fortunate the ref didn’t get called to a screen to watch it again. But - didn’t seem to be too much outrage from Birm. Edited 1 hour ago by Badger 1
