Don’t think anyone could’ve expected the impact he’s had so far. His range of finishing is amazing and he’s so much more than the big difficult to manage target man we thought he’d be. Canada’s Rickie Lambert but with more pace, he’s been absolutely brilliant. Just seems happy to be here and playing regularly and adored by the fans. He was so unfit when he arrived but I’m sure scoring with his first touch would’ve motivated him and he’s been top class since, let’s hope we can get 35+ games out of him this season.

Colin Clarke's debut half season was very very good.

Up there with Lambert and Pelle etc.

Hoping that Cyle gives us 2-3 years of what we are seeing now.

Nail on the head here with fitness and literally hitting the ground running with the first touch goal.  After his relative success at Betsiktas (83 games 31 goals), with various loans he had five clubs in three countries over four years prior to signing for Saints (132 games 26 goals), so the initial sceptism appeared justified.  At the time it looked like we were getting a 30 year old journeyman, lacking in match fitness with a record of one goal in five games.  Larin appears incredibly at home at SFC, has bonded with the fans and willing to give 110% for the jersey.  Connection and commitment has always been a big factor with Saints supporters, and we've been starved of that in recent years.

It must have been the deep visceral roar from us home fans when he scored with his first touch! He fancied more of the same..
