Sarnia Cherie Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Rupert Lowe ruffling a few feathers with his Party. His views will attract many like minded people who despair at the way Britain is today. Will he make a difference?

badgerx16 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Posted earlier on another thread : Charlie Downes, spokesman for Rupert's new party, appeared on GBNews arguing the definition of "Britishness" on a show hosted by Nana Akua; "Unlike all the other parties, from Reform right the way through to the Greens, we do not believe that being British is just defined by having a British passport and believing in a set of abstract corporate style values like democracy and the rule of Law. In our view that is an absolutely ridiculous definition because Britain and the constituent nations that make it up are ancient nations, they are ancient peoples" ( From 8 minutes ) I would love to see him prove that there is nobody from outside these islands in his heritage going back to pre-Roman times 1
Gloucester Saint Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Passed 100k members last week and already seeing Reform councillors defect in Leicestershire from their cabinet. With Musk’s dirty lucre and Tommy Robinson (Soggy alert) 🚨 in the background, they’ll nick the football casuals vote from Reform and more besides. Edited 2 hours ago by Gloucester Saint

I’ll take James Johnson’s view over this, pollster who used to write for the Guardian ( so not “far right”). He claims away from Twitter nobody knows who the fuck Rupert is. Claims a party to the right of Reform will strengthen Nigel and enable him to pick up more ex Tory voters. He said he’ll be able to define himself against them, so Musk, Robinson, Fox and Lowe are doing him a favour. He’ll gain more votes from ex Tories previously reluctant to vote for him, if that wing all fuck off to Restore.

I don’t like using either the Guardian or HNH as a source, but the opposite could true https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/mar/03/half-reform-voters-believe-non-white-british-citizens-forced-encouraged-leave in that the likes of Matthew Goodwin are probably going to Lowe if Farage moves too close to hoover up more Tory right/centre and Labour Leave votes. In the same way that someone on the ERG side of the Tory party might think ‘sod it, I’ll vote Reform and have the full fat option’, it is possible that the same could happen with a slightly more centrist Reform (not sure that’s likely with Braverman there, but I’ll carry on!) and Lowe’s party for someone who has been Reform/UKIP/Brexit Party if they want hardcore policies on even settled/citizens. Also, assuming James Johnson is right (he could be), and Rupert doesn’t have much profile beyond social media, Southampton, Yarmouth and rural Gloucestershire, that could change if Musk ponies up the promised campaigning funds. He thinks Farage can do similar to what Starmer did when he kicked out Corbyn, use it as a tool to show they’re not extreme. Corbyn kicked one bloke out to show he’d “changed” the party, when the reality was it was pretty much the same. Farage can do similar “the extremists are over there”. The Lowe’s of this world are helping with that strategy by attacking him all the time and coming out with policies Nigel can criticise. Personally, I think Lowe & Musk would do more damage by supporting him, rather than criticising Nigel. Edited 1 hour ago by Lord Duckhunter
