BarryVenisonsHair Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Morning all, A dear friend of mine has recently been diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 35, and has subsequently started his Chemotherapy treatment. He is a lifelong supporter of the club and has held a season ticket in the Northam for as long as I can remember, following the club up and down the country, through thick and thin. I have twice contacted the club seeing if they can offer a morale boost to him in the form of a letter or a care package but sadly they haven't been very responsive with replies or help yet. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas for better ways to get something like this happening. I thought about reaching out to ex-players etc online but I do not have social media. Any suggestions welcome, Thanks for your time. Up The Saints.
Sarnia Cherie Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago What a shoddy way to treat a long standing supporter. I haven't much time for SR but reading your post puts them in an even worse light. I am afraid I cannot be of much help to you except to say what a lovely gesture from you towards your friend. I'm sure some of our lovely Saints fans will be able to help you out. Good luck. 1
sad saints fan Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Might be worth contacting the Saints Foundation. 3
spyinthesky Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago To balance things a bit about three/four years back my next door neighbour, who I sat alongside me at SMS, was a few months to live. His daughter contacted the club and both of us were offered a meal in the Mick Channon suite and seats near the Directors Box. It was a nice treat for him and was, in fact, the last game he was able to watch. Sad to say we lost to a last minute goal.
