Plenty of clubs would be interested. Not from the premier league though unless its one of the promoted ones.

One less team to go after Bree!

Salary aside, I can see the appeal of the Championship for older PL players. Loads of fun and a slower pace.

Dan Neil would make sense if Jander/Charles off. Free, only 27 etc

He was gash in his loan spell at Ipswich though, but then that could be down to the system he had to play in.

He is 24 and didn't have a great season last year

Replacements don't need to be free transfers

No they dont have to be but worth utilising if players are available.

He did a decent job of helping Sunderland get promoted two seasons ago. So is a decent option to look at if Saints are being proactive.

Trippier supposedly signing a 2 year deal at wolves. Hell of a signing if he's still got some legs left

I wouldn’t call it a ‘hell of a signing’ personally. He’ll be decent enough if he avoids injury but he’s 36 in September and all things considered, if you gave me a 50-50 choice right now, I’d prefer to have Bree.

I’m surprised the released/retained list hasn’t been shared yet.

Contracts expire in a month. It’ll be interesting to see if we managed to convince James Bree and Ross Stewart to sign again.

I'd imagine a few players will be waiting to see the conclusion of Spygate.

Really hope we can get these guys signed on.

I wouldn’t call slogging through 46 games, less protection from referees, trips to the likes of Stoke, Millwall & Lincoln, a more physical game “fun”. Give me Europe, Australia, USA or Saudi any day.
