Russel Martin was there. Wearing some weird above the ankle hem trousers and constantly walking around trying to feel the love. Got to love his ego, not.

Great evening and great advertisement for Southampton boxing. Shutting all the bars down at 9pm however was cheeky to say the least.

An entertaining evening, actually my first live boxing match. Congratulations Ryan, fantastic performance.

But.....the absolute shit show that is St Mary's Stadium catering division, found a new low today. Complete chaos, totally unprofessional, staff that neither cared or were qualified in the most basic tasks of bar work. I know it's bad on match days, but this was on a whole new level. What nobody in charge ever seems to grasp, is that if they were more efficient then they would sell at least 3 or 4 times as much, thus making more money for the club. The utter incompetence was quite staggering.

Yeah, pleasure to watch the local lads fight but fuck me, absolute shambles on the drinks front/queues etc. Then all shut by 9 before Garners fight. Old bill said it wasn’t their call

Watching Garner last night and previous fights.

He’s a warrior but he lacks that massive knock out punch IMHO. Got one hell of a chin on him though.

Good win for both our lads, should hopefully set up a bigger fight for Garner at St Mary's later this year. Would love to see him in with Cacace.

Edmondson a decent domestic level fighter but it's a shame he's a bit of a feather fist as he's in a really casual friendly division but his fights are generally quite dull.

It’s a good observation but to be honest it’s not a weight class that has a lot of those big knockouts we love to see.

Doubt we’ll see another fight at St Mary’s this year due to the pitch damage such events bring. Will probably see him back at the BIC towards the end of autumn, or very likely on the undercard at a bigger Queensberry event, possibly even Fury vs Joshua if it happens.

If Garner and Barney-Smith both win world titles, they'll fill St Mary's for a unification bout, although they'd be wise to avoid each other for as long as possible.

The catering at Saints is completely useless even at match days. Having to go to different outlets for different food drink is pure stupidity and last night is proved the worst I've ever seen in all 900 Saints games or 300 gigs.

Took 30 mins to get a coffee and I guess looked an hour in largest queue for 6 beers. Fans were ordering 4, 6 ,8 drinks at a time with picking up any time with ticket but 4 staff per outlet won't do.

Food and drink gone up plus its worse than some dodgy outlet in Leyton Orient.

One of the best atmospheres at St Mary's in my top 3. Great fights, the 3 Southampton fighters all won an brilliant backing. Watched maybe 8 fights for £22. Main event Garner was outstanding won by unanimous points.  The MC was great, walk out music, music at end each round and fans singing chanting Saints songs.

Also 8 fights by fans, one bloke did left hooked and floored some in for the Kingsland heavyweight belt. Most fans had a beer in each hand in Northam and back ring side, must have sold 6,000 pints.

Quite a few wacky baccy spliffs and wacky vapes in Northam,  concourse and outside. After a few fights outside Northam,  someone squaring up to police as his wacky confiscated, or his mate arrested.

All over 10/10 for entertainment and value, 10/10 Saints atmosphere in Northam wish it could be as noisy and non stop at matches. Catering 0/10 but we went in chip shop before and got burger/pizza chips drink for £8

It would have been good to have one of the main card bouts between a Southampton fighter and someone from Middlesbrough.

That misfit boxing event was brilliant.

Craig Davids vs Bob Mortimer perhaps? 🤣

I wonder what hard Southampton celebrity would be an option for us?

Might be right actually, I thought some grounds (excluding Spurs did it throughout season. Off top of my head was thinking Simpson fighting at Oakwell was during last season but was actually June. Doesn't feel like over a year ago.

Plus, what is the crack with grown men scrapping each other? We are all Saints fans, right? All there for the same reason. But I witnessed blokes who should know better, completely fucking pissed, fighting each other and getting turfed out. WTF? The tickets weren't cheap, why? WHY?? Pathetic. Really fucking embarrassing. Plus their tarted up gobby slags wading in. Not for me thank you.

Embarrassing.

Phil Campion v Owen Jones is one I’d like to see
