Entry Song??

So now Saints come out to the Kings Of Leon?

It is to your taste or what would like to hear as the Saints go marching in?

Is it better to have something up-lifting, loud and aggressive, catchy, singable...what?

Not your particular favourite song, but more that will get everyone ready.

I don't especially like Enter Sandman - Metalica, Coldplay - White Shadows, Kaiser Chiefs - Clubfoot or Paul Oakenfold - Turn It Up...but I would say they all have as much use as that KoL effort??

I really don't know what would be good, just wondering what everyone thinks.

I'm surprised you are criticising the Kings Of Leon Tim. You do realise that they are American???? Please go away and return with a post telling us how they are undoubtedly the greatest band in the world.

To be honest I thought the change in entrance music was the first salvo in the club implementing your Yank manuscript that you sent to the club for filling in the circular filling cabinet.

I can't remember the names, or in fact actually the music, but for anyone that went to Charlton for the 1-1 draw last April...? I liked what they had there...

Anyway, as long as we win the matches... I don't go home thinking "we lost, but at least they played a song that rocked before KO!!!"

Kaiser Chiefs - Clubfoot or Paul Oakenfold - Turn It Up...

What and huh?

Possibly be:

Kasabian - Club Foot

Paris Hilton - Turn it Up (Oakenfold mix) [the only reference I could think of for Oaky and anything like Turn it Up...]

Great tune.

Going slightly off topic for a second, I saw Mark Thomas on his latest tour where he asks the audience to suggest a policy if they were in Government, he then went through them all and the audience voted on the winner. On the night I went the winning policy was to replace the national anthem with this very tune. Just imagine everyone singing along just before England matches. :D

I am not a Star Wars fan but what are the words to sing along to?

"Baa Baa Baa, Buh Baa-baa Buh Baa-baa... BAA BAA BAA, BUH BAA-BAA BUH BAA-BAA"

in a classic "Damnbusters" style... whislt waving an imaginary lightsabre.

Great use of the Lowe inclusion comment coming up. Well worked in.

No, that should be played when our glorious chairman appears to take his seat from the exec lounge.

Can you talk us through the way you did that Colin?

"Yeah sure. Well I noticed there was a conversation about football songs, you know, the songs that players jog out on to the pitch to. I had a quick scan through and although it had absolutely nothing to do with the thread, I sensed an opening for a Lowe comment, and I took it. Yes, it could be argued that on it's own the comment doesn't mean anything and even in context it doesn't mean much more, but I still went for it."

Thanks Colin. Tune in later when someone will connect Lowe with something else that has no relevance to anything.

Oh do calm down. In my own minds eye I felt it could be an amusing thing, He emerges, and then all of a sunden that music comes on! If you can't have a little black humour at times of trial you really are in for a bad time.

Personally, as previously stated, 'The Saints are Coming' by the Skids is surely perfect, something quite individual to us and lively enough to get the crowd going.

How about the violin medley they played on the Titanic folm as the 'ship was sinking'?

Sorry that was more for humour than anything else. Something uplifting would be good - liike waht Liverpool have with 'Never Walk Alone'

Something which when you get to the chorus and the whole ground are singing it puts the hairs on the back of you neck on end.

Got to be OWTS hasn't it? It could be the poor sound quality but I find the PA, whether music or commentary, very irritating. It interferes with the atmosphere in the crowd, whereas a good slow rendition of OWTS would get the crowd going, as Bubbles does at WHU and Glory Glory etc does at Tottenham.

Looks like I'll be in your manor sooner than you think Brad, you can tell me exactly which stuff you like huh? Dave says "hi" too...he'll even fake an American accent with it too if you want Brad. :-)

It has got to be this :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0i9uWNDvDg

Carl Orff: Carmina Burana.

Nothing like it iMO.

Agree its a brilliant song to get the adrenaline pumping and would get the crowd on there feet. As someone else said though, i think it could be a bit over the top.

Could be used going into the final game of the season where a win would garuntee the title :p
