If so, telephone that man! Alan Carr. The funny guy would make the opposition laugh.AND his old man Graham was a real tough nut at Weymouth Northampton and a few other clubs....He would frighten the team into winning. Winning combination.
Micky Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 We need a miricle - no amount of leadership is going to keep this lot in this division. They just aren't good enough and have no fight left - we are the whipping boys of this league. Sadley I don't think that things will get much better next season either. Rocker268 Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 Probably a stupid question but have people like Le Tis, Lawrie Mac etc been able to speak to the team, just people who love this club and have what it takes to get out of situations like this. ooh it's a corner Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 to answer the question, no. These chaps are 2nd bottom by merit and no inspirational talking is likely to change that. we couldnt even beat the bottom club at home when we really needed to. us versus forest last game, could be a nervy affair, but it's likely to be a convincing 4-0 home win sorry, but we are going down coz we aint good enough at this level
gordonToo Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 Even Clive Woodward would be hard pushed to get any sort of performance out of the current set up (not). The league table doesn't lie and the team are now playing as though they know that we know that they know they ain't good enough for the CCC and on recent showings probably Div 1 as well. If so, telephone that man! STOP IT!!! Right now this club is fooked. We are going to be in League 1 next season, due to the gross negligence of recent years. Why waste time on ideas to keep us up. This squad cant cope sheeet fookin bust! It doesn't matter who is in charge, a turd cannot be polished. Lets accept the inevitable and look forward to next season and hopefully new owners and a new era.
SFC Forever Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 Forget this season, it's over. We need to find a buyer with some clout to start the motor and get is climbing back up to a higher more palatable position.

If so, telephone that man! Ring me, tomorrow morning they would be at the training ground training at 8am and by 9am all of them would be in intensive care or hanging over the railings being sick. At 12pm they would be back for another dose, with another session booked for monday evening 6pm, to be cancelled if they win. It might not be inspirational but they would be bloody terrified of the bruisers I'd have in the background.

So sometimes we can get it right. I would call in Roy Keane. Kill or cure type solution!

Rocker268 Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I will not resign myself to the fact that we are down until it is too late, being realistic I thought we would get relegated last season, but we didnt and like last season I will be at SMS till the end of the last home game, what is football all about if not belief and hope? Of course my view is completely optomistic but that is the point of supporting a team, believing that you can win every game and staying behind that team no matter what. We would benefit immensely from that approach. make the call - how much would be it cost. If AS gets £1m for keeping Newcastle up, £100k for keeping Saints up? So tonight administrator fires Wottte and rings up RK. 9am tomorrow players meet RK for first "kick a*se" session
richard Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I would call in Roy Keane. Kill or cure type solution! The same Roy Keane who nearly started a riot taunting our fans when we got relegated from the premiership? No thanks.
Wildgoose Posted 10 April, 2009 Share Posted 10 April, 2009 I agree with those who think we are as good as down now..... just can't see the fight (that was there a few weeks back) to turn it around If we got a decent buyer I think I could enjoy seeing us completely rebuild from L1 with a good manager who would commit for a 5 year plan.....is that too much to hope for in the present situation, do you think? Players should be playing for pride and a few good performances should help them get new contracts at new clubs

Players should be playing for pride and a few good performances should help them get new contracts at new clubs General Patton once said something like two generals in a battle feel they can't do any more and nothing is going to work, the one who doesn't stop, wins. Kills and wounds lot of people but wins. Don't give up.Ever.
