Yes I was going to say something similar

Well it is hardly rocket science , personally i am fed up with everyone at SMS telling me how important every game is , we appear to waste loads of energy telling 15 to 20k but forget to tell about 17 people who can actually do something about it.

Part of Ruperts legacy

after all it might well be.

Sing your lungs out for the boys from the 1st min to the 90th. plus injury time

Unfortunately, most likely it will be my second last game. I'll nip along for Burnley whatever our situation and the reason is not masochism but honouring a vow to myself that once Lowe had gone for good, I'd be back, having missed a goodly chunk of this season through Judas Wilde despite being an (expensive) ST holder.

Should we stay up, I'll be back for more next season but if as is infinitely more likely we go down, I will not be coming back. I did my fans 'apprenticeship' watching Third Division football back on the 50's & 60's - at least then there was always hope that better days could come; sure enough propelled by Terry Paine, John Sydenham and Ron Davies, Saints realised all our hopes and by the time most of you guys were addicted to Red & White we were a vintage First Division side.

Let's be very clear in our own minds that despite all the smoke & mirrors nonsense of re-branding by the FA, FL and their cohorts, Saints will be playing THIRD DIVISION football next year and nobody should expect crowds of more than 11,000 even for the 'big' games against Southend & S****horpe.

Either your a fan or not.

I can understand boycotting due to lowe, but not attending just because they club are in tier 3 shows you up for being a fair weather fan.

I'm not even a lifelong saints fan, but i'll be there next season.

I'll do my best but I'll probbaly nip down to the concourse once we hit the 40min mark to avoid the worst of the queues. I'll still keep one eye on the tellies though so shall hope to make a difference from there.

If I can make it back up to my seat after quaffing refreshments by the 50min, I shall!

And of course, I'll be creeping down the steps by the time the 90th min hits just so I can beat the traffic.

Isn't this the norm nowadays anyway?

It will be really disappointing but those days weren't all bad, we used to average 14 000 crowds back then and for games against Brighton and Bournemouth they were over 20 000.

It would help to have another Paine and Sydenham though...

I'm not really bothered about Divsion 2 or Division 3, it doesn't make a big difference to me, it would be just nice to have a team next season to support.

Second that, and from the nipper. He's surprisingly cheerful about this afternoon.

That is how I feel. The PL is all about money and vanity. I support saints and whilst we are rubbish it is being a sotonian drives me
