  1. Do you realise how utterly daft you sound warning against appointing someone in case they are too good?
  2. Yeah you’d take the point. But what if it doesn’t lead to a point. What if we lose. How many days are you taking it then? That’s my point. The novelty of getting a result yesterday was wonderful but the actual performance? Let’s not pretend people enjoyed that because I was sat around a lot of people who clearly weren’t enjoying it. I’m not even arguing that we shouldn’t be playing like that. I agree with Rusk that any other tactic would lead us to getting beat. But I’m also not going to pretend it was enjoyable, ‘our first proper performance of the season’ or that if we play like that next week and lose I’ll be satisfied
  3. 🤣 It’s nothing to do with that. It’s just an odd situation to me that if City had scored yesterday we’d have ridiculed those tactics ourselves, just like people were for the majority of the game. The difference between the ball hitting the bar yesterday and going just under the bar is mad. But the outcome is king I suppose.
  4. I don’t think his record or experience is trumped by those. But I also don’t think those things correlate to doing a good job next time and certainly wouldn’t point to his record or experience to suggest he was an obvious or safe appointment so I’m wondering others do. Agree with you that he’s not going to be a realistic appointment anyway though.
  5. Just out of interest if City had scored yesterday and we lost would you still be calling that a proper performance? And will you still be calling it a proper performance if we concede 26 shots against Everton next week?
  6. I think like most managers he’s a bad loser so yeah you’re probably right. But there was barely anyone in the ground praising us for the first hour yesterday, so the idea the manager of the opposition is going to come out singing our praises is absurd. I think he did quite well to say ‘they can do what they like’ tbh
  7. What does that even mean 🤣
  8. Well two play off defeats is more failures than 1 play off victory. I don’t mind Cooper and would be satisfied enough if he was appointed but the idea that anyone, especially him, is paraded as an ‘obvious’ ‘proven’ ‘safe choice’ doesn’t really stand up.
  9. We didn’t do anything he would consider worthy of praise did we? 🤣
  10. Steve ‘safe choice’ Cooper continues to have more promotion failures from the Championship on his CV than successful ones btw.
  11. Not really, no. But, I think it's more likely than managers being appointed by social media
  12. I think it's much more likely that someone is feeding unrealistic links to the media to make it more of a coup when they themselves appoint someone. Could be wrong but Rohl walking in when linked to the Bundesliga and PL would look a lot nicer...
  13. If City had scored at any stage, this forum would be full of similar quotes, just as most of the ground was for an hour before people started buying into it.
  14. It’s beyond madness that people want us to settle for fairly safe bets and will actively say they are not arsed about potentially finding someone good 🤣 Also is a manager who has currently lost 2 out of 3 in Championship play offs really a ‘safe’ bet in your mind?
  15. I’m not even that arsed about Rohl necessarily but do feel the obvious stuff needs pointing out in his defence sometimes 🤣
  16. The obsession with up and coming managers is having someone good or exciting. Not some bang average experienced manager nobody else of note wants. I’m not really sure why that needs to be spelled out tbh 🤣 As for Rohl he hasn’t just done a decent job there. He’s been in football for however many years and worked his way to the top as an assistant. That includes being part of a coaching staff that got us out of relegation trouble in the PL. So he’s clearly got more on his CV than what you believe to be an underwhelming achievement at Wednesday. Again, not exactly sure why that needs explaining but I’d hope you’re not in recruitment.
  17. Looking forward to us appointing a manager who has clearly stated they have no intention of working at the top level and trying to inspire us to promotion.
  18. No worries mate. I know nuance and context are difficult for you Mike Basset wannabes but always happy to help you along the way.
  19. Stop looking at league tables as the only barometer of whether someone is capable working in a different environment. That might help you get it.
  20. That’s a terrible click bait article and headline for what is actually said ffs 🤣
  21. I think both have done quite well actually.
  22. I love that you’ve covered all bases so you can be angry in the future no matter what. Either we get Rohl and he’s not what we need or we don’t get Rohl and SR have fucked it again. Top stuff and definitely not confused. What would make you happy mate?
  23. You picked Cleverely because he’s in first managerial job and clearly did so to belittle Rohl without realising he’s also in his first managerial job 🤣 You also seem very confused as yesterday you said it would be sensible of SR to have agreed a deal with Rohl and now you’re angry he’s not what we need.
  24. Intrigued to know how many management jobs you think Danny Rohl has had…or is that another thing you ‘don’t know dickhead?’ 🤣
  25. Oooh you either didn't read, understand or deliberately pretended I wrote something I didn't. Well done.
