  1. Nothing much to write home about thus far. System looks a mess, but I suppose no more than usual. I thought Small did okay, actually. Positionally, he's a headless chicken, but at least he's now sprinting back, which he wasn't in his ill fated debut against Coventry. Lots of enthusiasm going forward - albeit no composure. Edwards has the look of a player about him; the way he addresses the ball, uses his body and low centre of gravity to protect it hints at a bit of quality. Fuck knows what he's doing at wing back, though. What a waste. Don't rate the formation at all.
  2. Had a bad ankle injury at the end of his "breakthrough season" when he landed on some water bottles on the touchline, and hasn't come close to recapturing that early promise. Whether that's because he's been adversely affected by the injury or whether he was just over-hyped and people have now been able to make a more detailed judgement on his ability over a much longer period, I don't know. But he hasn't risen above mediocre in a long time. Certainly his brief patch of form seems an aberration when compared to the rest of his career to date. Don't think there's anything wrong with his attitude - character might be a problem: loses confidence very quickly, starts turning down forward passing options and playing safe, then the crowd gets on his back, then he shrinks even further. He'd get along well with Redmond...
  3. My whole family are Spurs fans on my dad's side. So unfortunately I've watched him pretty much every week in some capacity. Wouldn't improve us in any way. Might as well bank the cash and promote a youth team midfielder. Or the kit man.
  4. We're surely not considering spaffing £20m on Harry fucking Winks. Passes safe and slowly, backwards and sideways. Can't tackle, can't head. No pace. No physicality. An absolute nonentity of a player. He's not even Matt Oakley.
  5. Number 6 - trialist A. Don't recognise him. (Lost 2-0, btw)
  6. Don't recall us announcing Max Alleyne joining City from the academy last summer. Think he announced it himself on social media. Pretty much the same scenario - turned down a scholarship because he got a better offer.
  7. Teams are still sniffing around Svanberg for around £8-10m. Surely better value than Winks.
  8. Supposedly switching to a back 4 next season.
  9. He's been crap for them under Conte. Doherty, before he got injured, and Sessegnon have been the go-to LWB's for Spurs. And now they've signed the versatile Perisic who played the role at Inter.
  10. Anyone seen Thierry Small lately?
  11. A reddit spy reckons he saw Broja yesterday evening out in Winchester with Livramento, Tella and Smallbone. Make of that what you will.
  12. A more chilling sentence has never been uttered.
  13. Then we'll still have problems in the wide attacking areas as Aribo isn't a winger and is as slow as Elyounoussi, and Armstrong has never really been more than serviceable out there (and absolutely appalling across the last ten or so games of last season). Not convinced.
  14. No chance A Armstrong thrives as a lone striker. Too limited. All he's got is pace. Hold up play, link up, aerial - all hopeless.
  15. He won't. Miles away from being good enough for us. He'll do well to make a career in the football league.
  16. Ruptured his Achilles. Hasn't been the same since. Lost acceleration. He'd still be better than all of our terrible wingers, but doesn't look like he's going to be a world beater anymore.
  17. Opportunity for Small to pull his finger out and impress in pre season. Vokins didn't disgrace himself in Scotland. So we have options, to an extent.
  18. I wouldn't. 10 goals, and an injury prone kid who has never played a season of senior football. That's not keeping us up.
  19. Thought I saw Jake Vokins too.
  20. And Shane Fucking Long.
  21. Especially if they've got that incoming Djed Spence money burning a hole in their pocket. Seems pretty telling that no Premier League clubs are in for him.
  22. You need 15+ points under the current WP system, and according to the online calculators he'd get 23 (11 points for appearances, 12 for the league he plays in).
  23. The karaoke machine isn't going to operate itself.
  24. I doubt we can afford to drop £20m on a player who has barely played senior football and has fitness issues. He's a bright talent, but thus far has only done it in youth football. Rhian Brewster to Sheffield United vibes. If we want Delap, a loan makes much more sense. See if we can get 10 games out of him, let alone 10 goals.
  25. Let me get in early doors and declare him the new Titus Bramble. Prove me wrong, condiment boy.
