It's a very realistic possibility that we won't get another point and finish on 40. And Everton can get 47 if they win their remaining games (which they won't). Burnley can get 46 (which they won't). But Leeds are the ones to watch. Appalling goal difference. They'll need 7 points to overtake us. From 4 games (Arsenal, Chelsea, Brighton, Brentford), with no fit strikers and injuries all over the squad. They're in deep shit.

Terrible goalkeeping. We've been increasingly poor. Palace playing to win. Fuck knows what we're doing.
-
Bit fortuitous to be 1-0 at half time, IMO. Palace the better team. Real lack of quality going forward. Tella's not at this level, Long works hard but is a shadow of the (not particularly good) player he used to be, Adams is no threat, Redmond has had a few nice touches but nothing of substance. Midfield looks leggy. Prowse got outpaced by Joel Ward, who's about a hundred years old and never had any pace even when he was young. A lot to do to close this game out in the second half.

He was at the start of the season.
-
By the looks of things he was holding Burnley back all this time...
-
That was as shit as it gets. Disorganised. Unmotivated. No quality whatsoever. I guess we'll find out about our new owners' mettle in the coming weeks - surely they can't continue to tolerate the abysmal standard of performances over the past couple of months. None of them good enough to wear the shirt tonight.
-
This is the kind of performance that ends up with a manager leaving "by mutual consent" at the end of the season. We'd be six down if it weren't for Forster. Against fucking Burnley! What a disgrace.
-
Gambling on the new manager bounce, I guess. Two wins could be all they need - Everton aren't picking up many more points.
-
Good lad. It'd be great if he could make a match squad or two before the end of the season.
-
He filled his non-scuffed quota for the season against Villa back in November. It's just shanks, shinners, and air shots from this point.
-
Are you doing our team talks?
-
Imagine losing to three crap teams in a row- all below us in the league. Really is feast or famine under Hasenhuttl.
-
We've been atrocious this half. No shape or pattern of play. Really poor from everyone.
-
1-1 h/t. Not really at the races early on, before a quick flurry where Broja missed a sitter and Armstrong scored. Then we went back into our shell and Wood equalised with about as basic a Wood goal as you'll ever see. Finished the half quite well - seem to have finally woken up. Broja out of sorts today. Even aside from his miss, his touch hasn't been there. Salisu's been a bit wobbly too. Don't think much of Newcastle, but I'm sure we'll manage find a way to gift them this.
-
Pretty tepid start. We don't exactly look full of beans.
-
He has to be sold this summer if he doesn't extend his contract, if we want to make a substantial profit on the deal. That's just the reality. I imagine he'll stay in England, though.
-
Salisu there - albeit seemingly training apart from the rest of the group with Elyounoussi. At least even if he doesn't make this game it looks like his injury isn't too serious. Tella back too. Improves the bench, I guess.
-
As long as he can walk he'll still be quicker than a pairing of Bednarek and Stephens.
-
Potentially seven players out: Lyanco, McCarthy, Tella for definite; Salisu, Elyounoussi, Walker-Peters, Long in doubt. Only three regular starters, but that would still be a big test of our squad depth. I'd take a draw with a patched up side.
-
Something was up: he's rubbish. Hasn't improved one iota as a footballer in three years. He's a bit better defensively, but has managed to get worse offensively, so it pretty much balances out. Only a year left on his contract in the summer. I think we'd be mad to offer him an extension, so I'd expect him to be moved on. Seems a nice lad, but the wild swings between extremely rare wonder goals and more frequent headless chicken meandering with his boots on the wrong feet aren't worth persevering with imho.
-
Fair play, we're giving it a go. Djenepo and Armstrong are shocking, though. That's £30m we won't get much return on. Diallo had a mental couple of minutes, be he seems to have recognised that passing to Saints players is the preferred course of action. Beautiful strike from Perraud - he's been threatening it for weeks. Defensively, he's been caught in some odd positions, mind you. Smallbone has been fairly decent. Let's see what the second half brings. We've done well to limit their set pieces so far.
-
Wow. That's... a collection of footballers. If Jack Stephens and Yan Valery can keep out a big, physical team who score a lot from set pieces, I'll eat my hat (provided it's made of cheese or something). There's literally no headers in that line up. Good luck, chaps. Stranger things have happened, I guess...

Brighton are doing it. https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/2510189/albions-show-of-support-for-peace-in-ukraine

Remember that you support a club that once complained to the league because a referee slighted poor Adam Lallana by suggesting he'd "changed". Embarrassing indeed.
