Just a guess, but I reckon there’s a good chance he used a translator.
-
On the face of it a very good deal. Would have been perfect for us especially at that price.
-
The trouble is OR isn’t fit to lace the man he replaced boots (Wanyama). We don’t need Morgan back, Lemina can do that role and is a better player. We need to effectively replace Wanyama and add aome much needed protection in front of our back 4/3. William Carvalho Would fit the bill, but he won’t come cheap so will probably be out of our reach.
-
Tend to agree. If Carrillo can learn to hold the ball up and bring in 2 / 3 of the attacking players around him he’ll do alright imo.
-
We should have signed Sisto the year Mane left. He’d just played against us, so couldn’t say we didn’t know him.
-
If I’m honest, I’ve seen little of them both (I’ve seen more is Sisto though). I remember sisto being the stand out player (for me) when we played against Midtjylland and a few games in La Liga and id compare him more to Mane (quick, good on the hall and decent in front of goal) than Redmond. As for Promes, I’ve only really seen him in a friendly for Holland where I thought he looked pretty average, if I’m honest. Gut feel is that Sisto will do well at the WC and get snapped up by a bigger club. I hope not as he looks a player.

Shaqiri would offer us something we currently don’t have and that’s someone who can hit the ball (and score) from outside the box and at the reported £12m is a steal. I do however agree that we are crying out for some pace. Whilst I highly rate Tadic, he is inconsistent. I’d like to see us go into next season with: Tadic Sisto / Promes (would prefer sisto) Shaqiri Redmond Sims A combination of pace and creativity and a few (Tadic, Dhaqiri and Redmond) can play across the front 3. If we can get that creativity behind them, I think Austin / Gabbi would do very well.

I’ve decided to base mine since our return to the PL, just to reminisce on how things could have been. GK: FF RB: Clyne CB: Toby CB:VvD LB: Bertrand CM: Morgan CM: Wanyama RW: Mane AM: Lallana LW: Tadic CF: Pelle Manager: Poch

Or they sell him (Richarlison) to someone else...
-
Watford refusing to sell to Everton at any price, following them unsettling their manager last season.... Southampton F.C. take note. Well done Watford.
-
Good bit of fishing, but simply not true. We didn’t even consider FDB. In fact we actually beat palace to Pellegrino.
-
Cracking deal, if true. Suspect it’s probably textbook West Ham though....
-
Which is where the manager needs to earn his ££.
-
Ship out Rooney and be left with Sigurdsson and Maddison would be a decent bit of business, imo. They’re a decent CB away from a pretty strong team tbf.
-
Possibly, but look at Burnley who very nearly broke the top 6 this season. Everton have a much stronger squad than Burnley and now have a manager who IMO will get the best out of them. No one knows how Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham (especially) will cope with a new manager. Unlikely yes, but they are much closer than we are to finishing top 6... sorry but it’s the truth.
-
In recent years, Koemans second season for me. Agree with Turkish that 83/4 must of been brilliant as a saints fan. Poch is still my favourite manager though and I don’t think we’ll ever see a manager as good as him ever again.
-
An owner who wants to push the club on. A new stadium. A new young coach. Koeman and Walcott obviously thought they were a better prospect than us.
-
They’re a club on the way up, we’re a club on the decline. If the difference isn’t light years now, it will be in a few seasons. I hope I’m wrong, but suspect I’m not.
-
Koeman is a good manager. Had they signed Giroud, as they looked very likely to up until the very last minute (very similar to us putting all eggs in Tuchel basket), then he (Koeman) would still be in a job. IMO, Everton will qualify for Europe this season, whilst playing a better style of football than under BFS. So I’d argue that he will improved them. Everton are light years ahead of us in terms of competing with the top 6. A season of uncertainty with Arsenal, Chelsea and possibly Tottenham. 4-7th could be up for grabs. If anyone does, it’ll be Everton IMO (Personally, as things stand, I think they’ll finish 7th). Ultimately this comes back to the argument that we should have appointed Silva after (and instead of) Puel... which on the balance of things I still believe we should have.
-
Weird. The forum experts told us he’s no good?
-
I did, they massively underachieved last year. Silva is a decent manager, he’ll inprove them significantly.
-
Where has anyone claimed he’s a super manager? As far as I’ve seen, most have (correctly IMO) pointed out that he is better than Puel and Pellegrino and that we should have appointed him in the summer.
-
You’re gonna look a right Wally when Everton do well next year, aren’t you.
-
Thanks for the update. Glad to see we’re active in the market. Hopefully you have the confidence to post it one day, ignore the trolls. Love n light

Thought this, but Poch (despite what people think) is a pretty loyal man. Unless his contract was agreed so that Spurs will get a bigger compensation pack then I expect him to stay there for another year or 2.
