  1. He is absolutely spot on in his assessment. I think Sunday will be the final straw and he will go. to think we have wasted the last 3 weeks, which were very winnable games (Burnley, Stoke and Newcastle) that would define our season. Please do not waste another one. With West Ham, Swansea, Leicester, Everton and B'mouth all still to come, get rid now and we have a realistic chance of staying up.
  2. I said it last week and I'll say it again, I think this will be his last game. This has got 1-0 Wigan all over it.
  3. He's a decent bloke, just a sh!t manager. Most around the club 'like him' - I think he's probably better suited to being a coach, rather than a manager.
  4. It's Les Reeds job (as Vice-Chair) to deal with 'footballing matters'. Whilst Ralph and other directors will have an input, on field matters ultimately lay on Les Reed's head. I feel a bit sorry for Ralph really, as you've said, he's actually done a pretty decent job (his main responsibility for commercial revenue). He has put too much trust in Les and he's getting dragged into Les' miss-management. Whilst it is obvious that MP isn't up the the task, I would imagine, given his background, Ralph isn't comfortable making a decision as big as sacking a manager, especially when he is supposed to have a 'football expert' next to him. Les got a hell of a lot of credit during the good times and to be fair, Koeman was a great appointment at that time (a strong leader, who knew exactly what we needed in the transfer market). Since the Koeman appointment, everything he has touched has fallen apart. He practically forced Koeman out (basically because he wasn't a yes man and they fell out a number of times, one regarding him not using our 'preferred formation', which given how Sh!t a manager Les was, is criminal), We've been disastrous in the transfer market (since Mitchell left) and he seems to lack the ability to attract a top manager (probably because he wants a yes man). IMO, Les Reed deserves everything he gets. With him practically running our football club, we will continue to slide - It wouldn't surprise me if he did leave at the end of the season to try and save face.
  5. FWIW I thought he was spot on with his assessment for the first 2 mins.
  6. We need to get someone in for the last 8 games to give us a boost. Pay them a sh!t ton of money to keep us up, then fu ck off, no strings attached if they wish. But this is Les Reed. We’ll continue to penny pinch, keep MP and go down. It’s a shame our next home game is so far away, the board deserve West Ham treatment, IMO.
  7. Pretty much sums up everything wrong with the PL. Too many foreign tourists with no passion or affiliation for the club. Fair play to those abroad that generally ‘support’ the club, but people like this need to f uck off. One reason I’m looking forward to championship football.

    Pellegrino OUT

Now is the perfect time to get rid. As things are, Wigan has cup shock all over it (and there is no chance we’ll beat a PL team in the semi final anyway), 3 weeks to find and appoint a replacement. As a few others have said, chuck whatever it takes to get a big name in for the last few games, no strings, and then re-evaluate in the summer. It’s got to the point where I would take anyone, it can’t be any worse than what we currently are seeing (sleep walking to relegation). Les, Gao, Ralph... do not waste another minute with MP, now is the time to act. This thread has been open since October, We have had 2 league wins since..... How the f uck is he still employed!? I know everyone now knows Les Reed is a complete fraud and a fool, but surly he is not stupid enough to think 1 we are too good to go down and 2 MP is the right man for this football club?
  9. Another game, another isolated CF. Will Sunday be the day?
  10. I’m on my way, I’ll make sure to wear my “poch’s 8th was better” shirt.
  11. I didn't say that and I don't think (happy to be corrected) anyone has. On a personal note, all I'm saying is that had Cortese stayed, or probably more accurate, had our ambition not changed, MP would have stayed - of course that's impossible to prove now. The players (and pretty much everyone in the club) loved MP and him going had a major part to play in the "mass exodus". You mention our 'Business model', that is accurate to what it currently is. This wasn't the case with Cortese in charge of the club, rightly or wrongly that's a different argument. Cortese had an ambition for the club (I'm not saying that he went about it the right way) and that ambition died the day he was sack, not replaced and Kat decided she didn't want to / couldn't afford to invest another penny in the club. Would Cortese have sold all those players that summer (and every summer since), no one will ever know. I highly doubt he would have sold half our squad to Liverpool and accepted the jokes and 'embarrassment' that comes with it. This is not a "bring back Cortese" post, far from it. Kat was right to get rid, his spending and actions were out of control. She was wrong not to adequate replace him though, unfortunately that just showed her ambition and interested in the club.
  12. Also, how is selling one player, as you said for an incredible dea in the third tier, the same as selling however many we did that summer after we’d just finished 8th in the PL. I wasn’t Cortese biggest fan, but the players and management staff at that time were. Had he stayed, so would have they 100%. And for what it’s worth, I know that pretty much first hand. All if and buts now, I suppose.
  13. I’m not going to get into a my d!ck is bigger than yours ‘ITK’ fight. I have no reason to doubt what I have been from a very good contact in the club at the time. I know, for a fact, Poch sat down with the club and listened to their offer and proposition. Of course it could have all been a bluff, but if he had no interest in staying, why would he have done that? Why didn’t he walk out mid-season? As for the Lallana thing, I’ve no doubt that had Poch stayed, he and a few other would have as well. The squad literally loved him. I for one never said that Les Reed not returning his calls was why he left, he was going regardless at that point and to be fair both parties had a part to play in how he left, but as captain and after all we done for him, he should have treated the club with more respect - however, the blokes a rat. As for ‘it could have been us’, we had a great opportunity with a young, talented squad to push on. Imagine Poch had Mane, Toby/VvD when he was with us with the others we had in that squad. Who knows how things could have panned out, but in my mind we missed a very big opportunity to at the very least become a regular top 7/6 side - that’s goes for when we lost Koeman as well, both very good managers, Poch was just the better coach IMO.
  14. They won’t listen, it doesn’t fit the agenda mate. Reality is, him and Koeman we’re both too good for us/our ambition. Don’t begrudge either of them. Only ‘defector’ I can’t stand is Lallana, the Rat. Lovren /VvD went about things all the wrong way but in reality owed us nothing and it was to be expected.
  15. I was quoting steal, his words not mine. As for Ox, he went to a top 4 PL team whilst we were in L1. A massive difference to selling your best players year on year to a rival in the same division.
  16. I’m very sure I know a lot more than you, sweetheart xx
  17. How many players did Spurs / Liverpool steal when Cortese was at the club? So yes, it does make a difference.
  18. It’s nkt delusions, it’s a fact. If he had no intention to stay, why would he had even contemplated listen to what the club could offer?
  19. Had we promised to push on / continue the project? Yes, without a doubt. As would have half the players that left.
  20. You do realise that if this was the case, he would / could have left mid season..... the fact of the matter is he gave us the chance to persuade him to stay and les failed (shock) to do so. Tottenham offered him a project in which saints couldn’t, so he went. ‘He didn’t want out at any cost’, he thought his future was better elsewhere, which turned out to be true.
  21. agree - him and Pep are probably the best thing to ever happen to English football, when you look at the players they have developed... Kane, Alli, Walker, Stone, Sterling, Tripper, Dier, Rose, Winks, Lallana, Shaw (even Delph looked decent at LB under Pep) with the likes of Foden coming through and being given a chance as well. A number of those will go to the WC full of confidence after working with 2 exceptional coaches. Rather than someone like Jose who has won loads, but is also close to destroying young players like Rashford and Shaw.
  22. I couldn't care who she sold to if they were willing to pump their own £££ into the club - Unfortunately it looks like Goa or Kat isn't.
  23. We're playing Newcastle, not Tottenham. We don't need all them players, our squad is much better than Newcastle's as it is. My point about Juve was that they didn't pump the ball into the box, but my point still stands - but I tell you what, let's continue doing what we do best, play defensively and draw
  24. He is training, but still a couple of weeks I believe
  25. So you note that we have become better defensively since Lemina came back, yet want to remove him from the holding role, desoite the fact JWP is shocking defensively Also, we've been playing a variation of 4231 all season (as we did last season as well), it's not working. But that's what we'll keep as it's Les' preferred formation
