  1. I was more annoyed leaving SMS after the Be'er Sheva shambles than I was with both draws (both late goals - away the worse) against the skate.
  2. I think you'd be surprised - If they could win a trophy (which is completely possible) or even qualify for EL then I think they'd start attracting bigger crowds. Like us, their catchment is pretty big and if we were struggling, they could easily attract some of our potential fan base. I guess it would all come down to pricing. Sensible price (£15-£25 an adult ticket) and any PL club could easily get 30k
  3. Given the direction of both clubs I wouldn't be so confident in saying this. If B'mouth an survive in the PL for the next few seasons and build a their new stadium they have every chance as being as big as us - similar to Brighton in that matter. The gap financially between the championship and PL is getting bigger by the year, I honestly cannot see us getting back any time soon. By the time we are back, we could be significantly behind the likes of B'mouth and Brighton.
  4. Whilst I agree - the club do appear to have a real issue with winning anything. Even in recent times: Easily the best team in L1, came second. Easily the best team in the Championship (that season), came second. Should have won the EFL cup, better on the day had better preparations, came second. For a club of our size, to have only won the FA cup once, we have massively underachieved.
  5. Lacks a yard of pace and isn't great going forward which is why he has struggled to get in over the past couple of years (under managers who rely on the wing backs getting forward and creating width). Fulham has worked for him as he plays pretty much as a LB and that has allowed Sessegnon to play as a winger. He'll be fine for us in the championship next season, pretty sure he'll stay.
  6. He was at fault for the first goal - after Cedric was caught up field (an awful ball by Yoshida btw) JWP just failed to track Welbeck then didn't have the pace to catch him. If JWP is going to play on the right, which IMO brings the best out of Cedric, he needs to sit in when Cedric overlaps. Personally I don't think he had a great game, didn't offer us a great deal
  7. They have an owner with ambition, willing to spend money to improve the club - we don't.
  8. Unfortunately this is the case. A ridiculous transfer strategy, pure arrogance at board room level, Loss of quality and lack of replacement, lack of any real ambition, a previous owner who couldn't give 2 sh!ts, a new owner who appears to be skint and has no knowledge on football isn't a great combination. The sooner we go down and replace the lot of them the better.

    Claude Puel

Because MP is an awful manager, worse than Puel. It was clear he wasn't up to the task from pretty early on. A nice bloke, got on with most of the players, but just pretty sh!t at his job. The first thing Hughes said when he come in was that they were shot on confidence. Something that had been sapped from them from the past 2 managers. Unfortunately, the atmosphere at the club seems pretty toxic from top to bottom. Puel isn't a bad manager tactically, but he appears to have issues keeping a dressing room happy, which (like it or not) is a major part of the job. I've no doubt that we are a few players short and that we have some significant weakness' in the squad (i.e CB and a bit of pace), but the core of our squad is much better than the position we are in. Had Poch had this squad, I've no doubt we would comfortably be top 10. So yes, the managers are a problem.

    Claude Puel

Puel had to go for obvious reasons (Loss of the dressing room) and it looks like he's working his magic with the Leicester squad as well. Sacking Puel wasn't the wrong thing to do, the panic / rushed appointment then subsequent failing to get rid of MP (who is a terrible manager) was. Had puel stayed, I do not doubt that we would be in a similar position to where we currently are.
  11. I suspect that £5k will go on a few more golf trips should we go down.
  12. I have to admit, Hughes keeps banging on about how good we look in training, I don’t think he’s realised that it’s because it’s 2 **** teams against each other. At least the videos of our midfield smashing them into (a practically empty) net from 30yards have stopped.
  13. And other than being at fault for the winning goal... but yeah, done alright
  14. Ref didn’t help us one bit there. Shouldn’t have lost that game, but yet again not good enough at the back. Play like that against Swansea and Leicester we should pick up 6 points. Go again next week.
  15. Agree, but it’s also shown how poor we are at the back. We will no way keep a clean sheet against the better teams we still have to play
  16. Why? He’s been one of our better players. What about JWP or Romeu who have done fu cl all?
  17. Like Tadic he’s the easy target mate. Same old on this place.
  18. How many goals have been conceded with a deep ball between Stephens and Cedric?? Every single game.
  19. Game is here to be won. Go for it, a point is no good!
  20. Have that. Cedric and Tadic fantastic.... have that haters!!
  21. We have, but we’re also practically playing their second string. Not getting too excited
  22. On the front foot, playing the ball in their half, perfect time to bring on Austin to nick a goal
  23. Agree. Much much better
  24. The ref has been appalling. Everything seems to favour them.
