    Handy then.

    Claude Puel

Puel is worse than BFS. BFS is actually a decent manager, he just plays an unattractive style of football, which is why many don’t like him. If I had to pick one to take over tomorrow, to save us, it’d be BFS every day of the week.

    Free Agents

List of current free agents: https://www.transfermarkt.com/statistik/vertragslosespieler Can any of these come in and save our season? The ones that jump out to me are: Nasri - horrific ego, terribly expensive & probably not as good as he thinks he is. But, has PL experience and would improve us in an area we probably need improving. Jan Kirchhoff - can cover a few positions (mainly CB for us), I actually didn’t think he was that bad at Sunderland considering. Neither are great, but we aren’t in a great place at the moment.
  4. We make a profit year on year - Why would she want to give up that? She will get 20% for doing pretty much **** all.
  5. If you were a very wealthy business man / women, how would you make money on us? The only way any new investor could really make any money is by improving the infrastructure (training ground or stadium) or improving league position (i.e get us into the CL). Both cost money - in football, you need to spend money to make money. Of course Gao could just sit on what we have, hope we remain in the PL each season and get his return on the profits we make each year, but how long will that take? and you risk having 1 bad season and losing the lot (as seen this year). You'd struggle to make money buying a PL football club these days (unless you want to just sit and milk the TV / commercial money). I don't understand why any business man would buy a PL football club if i'm honest.
  6. I reckon Plea was the French lad who’s agent pulled him out last minute (early on in the window).
  7. Initially it should have been after Liverpool humiliation and we should have brought in BFS to keep us up this season (it was clear at that point we'd be in relegation battle - at that point I assumed results would pick up or we'd get rid pretty urgently). Then results picked up (a bit), but Leicester first half was the worst I can remember - Without a doubt should have gone by that point. The final straw should have been the home defeat to Palace (02nd Jan) - Give the new man a window to get his players in. Since that, after pretty much every game - unfortunately I think the narrow win at Fulham kept him in a job.

    Lowe v Les

The further up the chain Les progresses the further the club fall back. Could of course all be coincidence. He got lucky with Koeman (who was the perfect fit for us at that time), who had a clear idea of what he needed (and Paul Mitchel to back him up). As Les gets more influence we see a certain style of manager (possession based football, rotation, 433/4231 formation). "the Southampton / Les Reed way". Also, he's always been pretty catastrophic in transfer windows (think Toby a few years back - that deal was harder to f ck up than get across the line). Then you have the Walcott, Promes & Fonte replacement deals.... Without the brains behind the 'black box' his luck has run out and he's pretty much been proven to be a fraud. I've met Les a few times, hes a nice enough bloke - bit of a blagger and I wouldn't trust him at all. He's blagged his way to the top and he's been found out.

    WBA Build Up

That will be pretty close to what we will go for, except I think (not want) Romeu will come in instead of PEH

    Pellegrino OUT

Les have publicly said (not in so many words) that he doesn't believe in sacking managers after 6 months in a job. I'm almost certain that this is why he has not been sacked - no other reason. Results and overall performances have not improved all season. I think I could probably only think of one game this season where we have played well from start to finish (against a very very sh!te Everton). Les is letting his personal ego get in the way of, to me, a pretty simple business decision. For that reason alone he should go as well.

    Lowe v Les

Les Reed is Vice-Chair. As I understand it, he has control over footballing decisions. Of course he can only spend what the owner is willing to invest (which obviously begs the question about their suitability in owning a PL football club), but if we are to sell / not sell / buy and negotiations all pretty much come down to Les (obviously he has to refer key decision to the board).
  12. Give him 6 months and a fat cheque should he keep us up. He can then go back to Holland and take their job in the summer, we can look to a long term appointment. Win win for both parties. That being said, surely there is no one on this forum who thinks that Silva would be any worse than MP? Silva may not be the best out there, but when you've got the worst, things can only get better.. right?

    Pellegrino OUT

Some of the Blame? I'd argue she has to take most of it. She clearly has no interest in the club and only wanted to milk it as long as possible (rightly or wrongly). She sold up to the first party interested. She appointed extremely senior figures in the club without a CV to warrant it - Seriously, how has a hockey coach got the role of chairman at a PL club I'm sorry but her Dad built a legacy, she has destroyed it (with help from those she's appointed). I hope her remaining 20% is worth **** all when we're dropping down to L1 again.
  14. Why even give him West Brom game? I think it’s clear we won’t get a win. It’s just another vital game in which we have wasted. Assuming we’ve sounded out his replacement, we’ve had enough time to, then that would give him 2 days training to get a plan together for WBA
  15. SKD

    Les Reed

I think Always is still clinging on.

    WBA Build Up

 Just unlucky tonight, everything else is fine though. COYR
  17. How do the club get the tickets from WBA? Do you think they just give them away for free If anything missing an away game is better as it will actually cost the club money. Probably not WBA though as it’s probably too close and many would have already brought tickets.
  18. He has a point. People need to show their displeasure with their feet. MP will be sacked by the time the next home game comes around, but this goes deeper than the manager. We need to sack (or at the very least bring in a senior figure above Les and Ralph) this board ASAP, but there is no chance that will happen.

    Quite annoyed

Gone past the point of being ****ed off if I’m honest. To be fair, I didn’t expect anything else. It’s becoming pretty funny watching and learning how not to run a football club.

    “Plan B”

We’ve gone full on West Ham mode this window We deserve to go down

    “Plan B”

Neither are fit for the job they have. Neither have a CV good enough or a skill set good enough. It’s worrying that these two muppets are in charge of key decisions at a PL football club.
  22. SKD

    Pellegrino OUT

Yep and unfortunately all this needs to lay at the door of one, very arrogant, man. Les Reed.

    “Plan B”

Thought we had a back up plan if we failed to secure Promes? What happened to him? Yet another bit of PR bull**** by Southampton F.C. to mug off their ‘customers’. Part and parcel of supporting a “small club” i suppose.
  24. Forster - highest payed player at the club and is nowhere near good enough. Will be in a world of trouble if we’re stuck with him.
