  1. Do you honestly believe that an assistant coach would pick the team? I would say it is pure coincidence (and the fact FF has been sh!te for 18 months now).
  2. Neither are suited to the way MP (and Puel to a degree) play. That’s why we look so much better when Austin is up there. Imo, we need to really change the way we play and take the game to the big teams. We might get beaten, sometimes heavily, but that is no different to what is happening at the moment.
  3. Lukaku up against Yoshida / Stephens..... very strong chance he’ll refind his form again today.
  4. Watford’s squad is vpoor. Much worse than Leicester’s and ours. I think with the defensive players we have, Silva would have done a decent job here and Leicester, but the past is the past no point in people (Puel’s little fan club) comparing the 2 week in week out.
  5. Tbf he played against Tottenham and didn’t touch the ball. I understand why Long has been selected, but in games like this you need to take your chances. Long won’t. Also, gabbi is pretty quick, quick enough to do that job but I’m just not sure he has the work rate to.
  6. Add Swansea to the list of teams to pull the trigger and improve. Watch and learn Les, watch and learn.
  7. Probably the Same as you were when you were slagging off Boufal game after game
  8. Whoever it is, Unless they come in and instantly score a hatful a large % of our fan base will write them off anyway. As they did Mane, Boufal, Pelle ect.... I say sack them all and bring in 11 JWPs who say the right thing and are young, hungry and therefore going to improve.
  9. Exactly what we need. balotelli Would suit our needs, but in an unstable dressing room (which we currently have) I’m not sure he’s the best option. Plea is more of what we currently have (but better) so I reckon of the two we’d be more inclined to go for him. If I’m honest, we could probably do with both and sack the idea of bringing Walcott back
  10. Jack Wilshere....... Would have been a perfect replacement for Davis. Unfortunately looks like he's won himself a new contract at Arsenal. We should have got him in the summer, when we have the chance, like I suggested (and was of course shot down as its Hip to not like him along with BFS)

Do you seriously think that Liverpool would agree to not play their new prize asset (which many believe is the piece of the puzzle they have been missing) for a few weeks, because we haven't sorted our transfers this end? How do you suggest the Telegraph (known to be favored jurno) got hold of the story? If i'm being honest, the reported leaks stink of PR to keep fans on side and deflect away from genuine targets (notice how the Telegraph has very little mention of Walcott, which seems the most genuine leak / target so far). VvD can play for Liverpool from Monday, there is no way, we would have done our business by then. What we could have done is refuse to sell until we have brought players in, but that would mean keeping an unhappy player in the stands and around the dressing room for a few extra weeks.
  12. Honest assessment is he is absolute class, way too good for Liverpool, but hey ho. However, I still think Toby is the best CB I’ve seen at the club. IMO, Toby is the best CB in the league, with VvD not far behind him (as shown by Tottenham ‘dip in form’ this season). Both 2 good for their respective clubs and could easily be a pairing at the best clubs in the world.
  13. Would Sturridge be an upgrade on Gabbi? I generally don’t think he would, not the sort of Centre Forward we need, IMO.
  14. Wouldn’t be surprised if they lobbed it back..... According to the gooners I know, they hate him.
  15. Don’t really get the fuss, pretty average player. However that being said, he’s better than Redmond and will offer us some much needed pace in the side, I just hope we play him RF of a 3, with a new target man through the middle and Boufal on the Left. Not one to usually want players to make a return, but feel like Walcott perhaps left a year or 2 too early, so has some unfinished business with us. Overall, would said it’s a 6or7/10 signing for me.
  16. Let me guess, Les (the man who appointed him) is one of these 2. Textbook.
  17. Neither are great at marking or in the air. Good enough for 3/4th choice, not starting over a long period of time, no way.
  18. Pay whatever it takes to get Giroud, he’ll offer us something different and give us a true focal point of our attack. If we’re going to continue to play 1 up top, we need a target man who can hold the ball up.... think an upgrade on Austin. Don’t get the fuss around Walcott, although he’d be better on the right than Redmond is. Think we need a right sided CB to replace VvD. And a Keeper but can’t see that happening just yet.
  19. Madness how so many people turn their nose up at Allardyce, yet hail Dyche as the saviour, when they practically play the same way. Dyche would do no more in terms of getting more goals out of our forward line than the last 2.
  20. Yoshida and Stephens aren’t good enough, as shown in the last few games. Would they get in any other PL team? No chance.
  21. If Walcott goes for anything close to £50m then I will officially give up with modern football. Don’t really get the hype on here for him if I’m honest. Pretty average player, doesn’t know his best position and always injured. He’ll fit in well then.
  22. Other than a chance to manage in the PL. Pretty sure he’s been seen as long term replacement for Pep so it’s something that could work for both parties
  23. Done a lot of research on Viera in the summer and wanted him (after Tuchel) to take over. I don’t think it would be the right fit now though, unless we are willing to take a gamble and keep him for 2+ Years, regardless what happens this season. Same for Arteta, I guess. Rowett & Wilder would be vgood if we are to drop.
  24. Yep. Shocking attitude as well.
  25. The blokes a bitter bellend. IMO, from what I’ve heard, he’s the reason all the disharmony in the squad started. He practically single handed turned the majority of the squad against the previous manager.
