  1. Think we might lose this one. They've found a bit of form and counter very well, with pace. However, knowing both managers, it could develop into a terrible game with both teams happy to pass it around in their own half for 90 minutes, waiting for the other team to attack so they can counter.... Forster Cedric/Pied Yoshida (seems a bit quicker than Hoedt) VvD Bertrand PEH Romeu Lemina Tadic Austin Boufal 0-2 Leicester (Vardy, Gray)
  2. He quite clearly didn't do it on purpose. No professional footballer (other than outright thugs like Keane), would go out with the intent to severely injury another professional. It was late and a bit naughty but there is no way, he tried to hurt him... Nothing will happen, all water under the bridge.
  3. Each to their own, but anywhere else on the pitch and that's a foul and probably a yellow card - it was horrendously late. Had that not been given for Saints, I suspect many, including me, would have been outraged. Lets say a full back clears the ball down the line and an attacker comes in late (after the ball has gone) and clatters him... it's a freekick. Maybe the fact the ball was potentially out of play when he made contact helped him, it shouldn't have though. Clear penalty and i'm surprised more hasn't been made of it.
  4. It was the most blatant penalty you’ll see all season, can’t beleive it wasn’t given if I’m honest.
  5. ive Said it before and today strengthen my argument, if snap up Jack Whilshere. Imo he changed the game for them when he come on. Have them something they were lacking first half (and something we have all season) in the ability to split the defence and play a forward ball from deep. Only concern is keeping him fit.
  6. Completely agree. Players seems to have gained confidence and showing their ability again. Even Forster has improved over the past few weeks

    Claude Puel

Ive been told that in our championship season it was a toss up between Vardy or Sharp and we went for Sharp. Suppose with the benefit of hindsight it looks an awful choice, but Sharp’s goals did help towards promotion that season.

    Claude Puel

He was the right fit for us, but seems to be doing a decent job a Leicester, so credit where it’s due. Still dont think he would have done any better with us and believe we were correct in getting rid after he lost the dressing room though
  9. Have you not? It’s a good one. I think he’s got the words slightly wrong though. It’s same tune as the Gaston Ramirez one and it goes “ooohhhh f**k off you gay c***s” You should start it the next time we play them, I’m sure the Northam will shortly join you. (Disclaimer For those snowflakes here that are easily offended this is clearly a joke and I do not condone homopbic chants in any way shape or form)
  10. ****ing hell, that changes everything. Lock him up and throw away the key, there is no place in society for animals like this and certainly not at football. I hope the throw the book at him and set an example to other fans who may consider displaying such disgusting behiaviour. Hopefully next they go for those who persistently stand (even though it says on the ticket and they’ve been asked to sit down a number of times). What a world we live in, animals.
  11. Boufal isn't a left back. He does a job tracking back, but defending quite clearly isn't he forte. To try and criticise him for his defensive ability shows your desperation.
  12. Spot on - Look at Kane. Yes he probably has a bit more about him that Austin and offers a bit more outside the box than charlie does (hence why he's playing to Tottenham and not us), but he is a very similar sort of player. I still think Austin can do more to get fitter and become a better player (like Lambert did and went up a couple of levels), but I also think we need to change / adapt our style (which in fairness it looks like we have done) to accommodate him.
  13. They literally showed one clip on him not tracking a runner (in Bournemouth's area, might I add) and said 'does he track back and help his team... No'. Not once did they show all the times he did (one of which probably should have been a penalty, so that's an easy one for them to show). They also showed about 2 clips of him trying to beat his man and failing, one of him giving the ball away with a bad pass (none of his good ones, i.e the one to Bertrand which Austin should have finished) and his miss (which he should have done better with). In fairness, the presenter (I can't remember his name) did ask is that not to be expected by winger / flair players and rightly pointed out that those that try and create stuff will give the ball away more often then someone who plays a safe 5 yard side-wards pass every time they get the ball. He didn't have his best game yesterday (first half especially), but he grew into the game second half and him and Bertrand caused them trouble down that left wing. Ultimately, if you expect him to be consistent week in week out you will be disappointed. Once he finds his consistency, for a season, he will ***** off to a top club, I.e Mane.
  14. Palace or Sunderland home, for me. It'd be nice to get someone different for a change.
  15. He doesn't really have much choice though, if i'm honest. I'm surprised he's managed (according to this) he's managed to pick up a job in the championship, to be honest. I know some absolute wally's think that he is the right man to replace our current manager, but the reality is, other than us (where he had an amazing squad for the divisions he was in), he's not really been that successful. A decent bloke, but I suspect he will be out of work again in 18 months.
  16. A game we needed to and should have won, IMO. On the balance of play they’ll probably be happier with a point than us. Boufal didn’t have his best game but linked well with Bertrand and his ability to beat a man showed why he needs to be in the team. I’ve been slightly critical of Austin as I don’t believe he is as fit as he should be, but him starting really shows the benefit of playing an out and out no9 and it helps he knows where the back of the net is. Can’t really fault the players (other than Hoodt for the goal) or the manager on today’s display and it appears our style is changing. From where I was sat it looked like Boufal, VvD and Austin missed ‘sitters’. was this the case?
  17. Do you not think it is a bit out of order / offensive / sexist / nazism (delete where appropriate) that in this day and age you are excluding gender neutral's? You sound like a daily mail reader to me. "It's got chlamydia" from now on please.
  18. Nail on the head for me. I’m struggling to see what is actually abusive or offensive about that particular chant. If the snowflakes can’t handle it, then football is probably not for you. Whilst I don’t find it funny, it’s clearly just ‘banta’. It’d be good to see the whole of the Northam/Itchen North singing it in the return leg as some sort of protest. I expect with a half decent legal representation, he’d have walked away with nothing. Shame on hants police, the Judge and the Echo for printing.
  19. --------FF------- --MY--VvD--WH-- JWP--ML--OR--RB --DT--------SB-- --------CA-------
  20. JWP as WB isn’t a bad shout. For me, that’s probably what I would go for, but I suspect we’ll go back to a back 4 and SD will come in (probably at the expense of PEH).
  21. Appreciate you need to be conservative when playing the likes of city, but this is outrageously defensive. Almost pointless playing Long up top alone with no one within 20 yards of him. Will need to counter with Pace, you can’t defend the whole game.
  22. Fair enough, don’t think you can argue with that. Whilst redmond and long haven’t been great you can see what he’s trying to achieve. Expect Tadic and JWP to both drop out then.

    Morgan Schneiderlin

IMO it’s: JWP > PEH > Romeu > Schneiderlin > Lemina = to Wanyama Personally I think PEH, Schneiderlin and Lemina are all similar players. I think Wanyama was massively underrated and his passing / on the ball ability was in no way as bad as some made out. A CM partnership of Wanyama and Lemina would be outstanding and just the level above what we had when Schneiderlin was in there.

    Pellegrino OUT

Pennies to what staying in the PL (which they will do under BFs) is worth to clubs.
  25. Crazy that they haven't gone for Adkins really. Without a club, from Merseyside and a better manager, according to some..... All jokes aside, sensible appointment. They're in a relegation battle and he will keep them up. Simeone was always a ridiculous suggestion.
