  1. The championship is a hard league to get out of. Absolutely no chance.
  2. Agree. Feel for MP, he’s not up to the task, that’s not his fault, it’s the ****ing dinlos who appointed him and cannot accept they made a mistake. If we go down, it will be 100% fault of the board.

    Time to wake up

The club is a ****ing shambles. No ambition No passion No drive No clue Ran by people who only want to line their pockets and have no clue how to run a football club. **** Off Ralph, **** Off Les, **** off MP, **** Off Kat. One way ticket back to L1 with these clowns at our club.
  4. Every week...
  5. I’d bring MT on and shift Stephens to RB and Bertrand to CB.... hopefully Pied is okay, we are going to need him in the coming weeks.
  6. 1 win (which came 2 days after he took over) in 6 since taking over Hull. I predicted he’d be out of a job in 18 months, if their form continues it looks like it could be sooner. And to think a few generally thought he was the man to keep us up this season
  7. I want someone to run on a slap their ST round the managers chops.

    Concussion

There is a lot of noise around this at the moment, especially highlighted by the BBC documentary. From what I understand, they just cannot say either way (happy to be correct on that one though). What can you do though? You simply cannot take heading out of the game but if proven, you cannot let it continue. I do think that the footballing world are taking steps in the right direction though (can only play on under doctors advice ect..) It's concerning, not just for those in the professional game, but for those at grass roots level who (most) won't have the financial support later on in life for care ect...
  9. Rubbish - That may have been the case under Cortese, but it's pretty much publicly known that we now we sell our club to players as a stepping stone. That probably has a major say in why they become hacked off when we then tell them they can't leave. I'm pretty sure Les came out and said this in one of this many interviews.
  10. Somethings are best left unsaid and I think this is one of those situations. Personally, I don't see what good can come of this (unless we some how miraculously turn our form around and MP really is the next Alex Ferguson and he can say "I told you so" - extremely doubtful). IMO the owners just see us as a cash cow and are happy to remain mid - lower (which is our Natural Level) PL without any real investment. If we wanted to sustain the success we saw under Poch or Koeman we needed investment (and probably a lot of it), which obviously the owners didn't want / couldn't afford - that's up to them, but disappointing non the less. Under the current leadership, I can see us drifting anywhere from top half of the Championship - Top half of PL (with a good season).
  11. Sounds like you are thinking of Adam Hammill, back in c2007... Now applying his trade at Barnsley, I believe.
  12. Hoedt is a massive loss for this game, especially against someone so physically dominating as Benteke. Assuming that will mean Stephens will move into the center and Pied will come in at RB. This shows why we need to replace VvD.... They may have a dismantled back 4, but we have a number of forwards who can't score. Feel like the power and pace of their front 3 will be too much for us and I can't see anything other than a Palace win. Which is concerning and would surely mean that MP needs to go.

  14. Heart says we should have taken the £10/£15m hit, head says good business decision and that's potentially a new player. £70/£75m is too much for a club of our size (and league position) to turn down. All in all, a good deal for player and club... A bit of a kick in the teeth for fans (who didn't want us to sell to the Victims), but so be it.
  15. I generally don't think a few on here/social media do...
  16. If true, £30m is a dreadful deal for us, IMO.

    Boufal

Given a run in the side and as suspected he’s showing he’s one of, if not our best player. Will only get get better... enjoy him whilst he last here.
  18. Did I really just see the ref give a foul for the keeper running into his own player???? Not even mentioned by commentators
  19. Nonsense, he’s played well so far.
  20. Probably because every cross that comes in, looks like they’re going to score.
  21. After a good first 20 mins we’ve sat back and let United back into the game.... just like the last 2 years then.
  22. Pressing well and attacking with pace. Still look weak defensively, but that’s of no fault of the manager. It’s like going back 2 years.
  23. JWP needs to do better there. Good save, but should be scoring that.
  24. The weakest team we put out in the PL since promotion? A team with McCarthy, Yoshida, Stephens, McQueen & Long has championship all over it.
  25. Watford have a habit of unfairly sacking managers. I think he’s probably doing what you would expect as a Watford fan. For them to stay up is an achievement, Top 10 overachieving. I didn’t watch the game so can’t comment. From you’ve described, I would be unhappy if that was a saints performance, but let’s not pretend that Puel & Pellegrino don’t employ the same tactics. Would silva have been a better fit for us? I guess we’ll never know. We know that Puel and Pellegrino aren’t though.
