  1. Yeah, but wasn't Celebdaq free?
  2. Not unless someone gets me the data.
  3. If it's just them that'll be great.
  4. LOLz, "but without any players we'd have lost". Our overall play is, as was successful last season, to defend first and try and create with our few attacking players. We've tried other things and this is what works for us. Also Koeman "randomly changing things around" would be him maximising our potential against the specific opponents we face, who all have different strengths and weaknesses.
  5. Match report of Crewe's previous game against Rochdale where Seager started here: http://www.crewealex.net/fixtures-results/match-report/index.aspx?matchid=3834012 Mentions "his willing work rate", "Seager a willing runner in behind"and "The hard working Seager was also given a slight rest after running himself into the ground".
  6. Good of Van Gaal not to pick Schneiderlin for months and allow them to accumulate enough defeats that even his presence recently hasn't helped much. Shame it happened just after I put money on them at 28/1 to win the title in the hope they'd go on a run and I could cash out a decent profit, with Leicester's results until today that tenner is probably worth about a quid.
  7. Last season we had two spells of rubbish results, I'm not entirely convinced that won't happen again around the time the players who want to leave stop trying and unsettle the rest of the squad (again), but we may as well enjoy being good while it lasts.
  8. I apologise to the team for suggesting we might finish as low as 13th.
  9. My desire to say "they have games in hand" is offset by that stat about them not beating anyone in the top 14. It just might be that they were spawny enough to play the entire bottom half at the start of the season and just didn't know it. Either way they should have been absolutely bolted on for an automatic place this season and they're not looking remotely like doing that at the moment, even with games in hand. It's amazing how that place sucks the effort out of journeymen. They go in enthusiastic, they come out bewildered and awful. FWIW one of their former players Ricky Holmes is scoring for fun for the leaders having been injured for 4 months, and a couple of others they've let go in the past 18 months are above them in the table this season too.
  10. Go and take a look at the last 20 minutes of the first half of Saints v Liverpool in the League Cup, or his performance at the Etihad, and then his performance in Norwich, and tell me he hasn't been ducking out of his duties. The fact we've been so obviously better against Man U and Arsenal recently, which are clubs he probably wants to sign for, tells you everything you need to know.
  11. They won't because the Prem tv money is an increase in revenue which also increases the amount teams are allowed to spend on player wages. Everyone is getting it, so the whole lot goes up. As for "I like our wage structure", you won't if we miss out on all of our targets for next season because Bournemouth or Middlesbrough are paying them more. This is why I've been harping on about us trying to buy early and tie players to lower wage deals before the roof blows off it, but now Vardy and Payet have got good new deals everyone will be at it.
  12. Only if it wasn't a qualifying competition, or certain clubs qualified automatically. I don't even watch Champions League games, so my interest in a Euro League would be practically non-existent without Saints in it.
  13. Yeah, that doesn't surprise me either with the hills from Coldra to St Julians and from High Cross to Malpas Road both channelling quickly-moving traffic towards stationary traffic, nearly wiped out into the back of an immobile queue coming from High Cross myself ages ago, stamped on the brakes and went five car lengths down the hard shoulder.
  14. It's going to be an absolute nightmare then. Only realised that was on this afternoon when I saw Newport County are kicking off at 1pm.
  15. I'd also recommend using the M48 toll on the old Severn Bridge instead of the M4 one over the Second Severn Crossing, the M4 tolls have got stupidly slow recently since they went to all-manned booths instead of coin-bins and there's usually a queue of about 10 car lengths for each booth now, whilst no-one other than the residents of Chepstow, Usk and Monmouth tend to use the old crossing and it's relatively quick. Although there are far fewer tolls and you might get diverted down to the roundabout before it to thin out the traffic, the queues are usually shorter. Also, be aware that they have very recently switched on the speed cameras on the gantries all the way through Newport on the M4 and I'm fairly sure they'll be keen to rake in as much money as possible. Personally I'd take the Southern Distributor Road around/through Newport rather than the M4 through the Tunnels as well, but that's because I know where I'm going. M4 through Newport is always a bottleneck but will probably be ok on a Saturday morning/lunchtime.

Micah Richards seems to have similar issues.
  17. Beat me to it.
  18. To be perfectly frank, £77 for the most expensive non-corporate ticket is a piddling amount for a club that claims to be so massive anyway. It's not like most tickets are those prices, nor that they don't offer community tickets for the disadvantaged etc. As I mentioned, there's an argument about ticket prices being too high, but that isn't it - FSG just have the misfortune to have tried something unpopular at the club that has the most organised bunch of whingers due to previous reasons for them to have organised themselves.
  19. The disadvantage from having less ticket revenue is offset by being on tv a couple of times or finishing one place higher in the league, which if last season is anything to go by, is down to how much of a "Friend" you have refereeing your key matches. If they provide the opportunity to do in an environment fans actually wanted to be in, I'm sure people would. Man City have a decent fanzone thing outside and must rake it in from all the additional beer and food purchases at the mildly enhanced cost of sticking a big screen up and occasionally a stage. Saints could easily take over a few pubs in the area if they didn't want to go all out with the on-site stuff, but there's room for development if they actually want to create something. The Dell Bar isn't going to be to everyone's taste, so offer a variety of places. I guess the problem then is staffing them on an ad-hoc basis. I'm fairly sure I couldn't buy any more merchandise if I wanted to though.
  20. Then when they only reduce the price of a tiny fraction of the 36% of tickets which are going up, not bother to make a fuss about that, because you've somehow made your point despite them still putting prices up for about 1/3 of fans...

I'd be very surprised if, given our newfound tendency towards 3 CBs and wide defensive-minded midfielders (or wing-backs if you like), we don't sign either a left-sided CB or a left-sided wing-back type player in the summer. Bertrand/Targett have done well at LCB and LWB but once one of them is out we immediately look weaker.

    Can't argue with him there.

Caulker? The list of clubs our size or smaller in the Prem isn't THAT big to begin with, so even if there's a list containing every backup Prem defender from teams below us it's not going to have more than about 20 people on it.
  24. Not a surprise, given that they were only campaigning about a tiny fraction of the ticket prices anyway!
