I am disappointed that if we win all of our last 9 matches there's only a 2% chance of us coming 10th. Although there's a 52% chance of coming 8th Ok, so looking at that, in order to have a better than 50% chance of coming 10th OR ABOVE, we need to have 48 points. That's 6 wins and 2 draws. I don't think that's very likely really. With SIX WINS there's only a 1/5 likelihood of finishing 10th or above. That's not really very good odds.

How is it "false" if that is our actual position ? Man City were a third tier side 13 years ago, is their top 2 position "false" ? Man U were just a popular middling to decent top tier side for 20 years in my childhood and couldn't win the league in 26 years, and before all this Premier League nonsense started we were regularly a top half top level team - where do you draw the line ? We were bought by a bloke who had access to £2.6 billion IIRC, the Chairman's target is European football, he's achieved everything else he's wanted to so far so you have to assume he's got the means to get us there if needed.

Suarez isn't allowed to prevent the keeper releasing the ball into play, that's a booking. Also, every time he even accidentally delays the keeper, the keeper gets another 6 seconds to release the ball anyway. So Suarez really helped us waste time at the end.

I'd just like to say I very much appreciated him reviving 2009's grey goalkeeper socks and breaking out last season's grey keeper shirt today as well. An unexpected bonus for my kit geekiness thanks presumably to Phil Dowd's refusal to let him wear all purple or (more sensibly) all black. Socks! ^^^^

Oh, and I thought Boruc was by far our best player today. Held every single thing in very difficult conditions. Had to laugh at Suarez not knowing that you get booked for preventing the keeper releasing the ball into play, what a nobber.

Nice when we play for 90 minutes at the level we need to be at for every game. But we need to do it more often than every 4th match. Thought Lambert held the ball up superbly today. Bloody awful attempt at trying to beat Jones in the first half though, looked like he remembered he was a scouser halfway through it or something.

Good question, that.

There is no missing £1, you're just adding up unrelated numbers. The "missing pound" is actually the different between the £98 you still owe, and the £97 you spent. Why the hell would you add a random quid to the £98 you owe your parents ? And also, why the hell would you spent £97 you didn't have on a shirt ?!?

Wow, that's wacky and zany. No wait, it's utterly boring. And why would either Saints or Brighton fans give the remotest toss what Bournemouth come out to ?

It could quite easily just tell you that one of them isn't doing the job he's supposed to and the other one is covering for him. Like when me and Steve Grant played in central midfield in Preston and he scored direct from a corner and had loads of chances, and we conceded loads at the other end due to a massive gap in central midfield. It ISN'T the case for Saints, I just wanted to get that out of my system. It was 2005...

If we stay up we won't sell him unless Cortese actually wants to, that's for sure.

Anyone remember in the early 90s Spangles came back (looking like the older advert above) but were single flavour packs and only for sale in Woolworths ? They're basically just Jolly Ranchers anyway. My favourite thing about sweets are the way Munchies used to be a luxury sweet at about 60p a pack when everything else was about 20p a bar (around 1988ish), and they're now about 80p a pack when everything else is about 60p - so they're basically inflation-busting. Oh and don't forget Mintola, the equally overpriced supposed luxury mint-filled munchie.

Ok... Pacers were actually the same thing as Opal Mints - and then they stuck the 3 stripes on them (and took it away again). Coconut Boosts got dumped when they brought out non-coconut Boosts (the current ones) in the early 90s. The "Peanut" Boost that also came out at the same time just before they got rid of coconut Boosts used to be the old Star Bar, and now is again, because Star Bars disappeared from the early/mid 80s until the early 90s when Peanut Boosts came back. Lovells made Milky Lunch in my home town, but they stopped selling Milky Lunches about 10 years ago : http://www.hotukdeals.com/ask/lovells-milky-lunches-chocolate-bar-129893. They sold the brand name to some Turkish (not that one) company. FWIW Lovells also had Newport's second best football club and as well as winning the Welsh Cup once, once reached the first round of the FA Cup and used to get crowds of around 10,000 at one point. Oh yeah and I think the mint Ice Breakers bar was relaunched as Cadbury's Bitz in around 1989ish with a couple of different flavours, a bit like Matchmakers in a bar.

We were also pretty good for 45 minutes against Wigan in the second half until their late equaliser. In addition, without really raising our game or looking particularly good, we dominated and kept Norwich to very few attacks on the weekend. However, if you just want to talk about pressing, forget Norwich, QPR or Newcastle (the latter of which we pressed for about 5 minutes).

I'm not sure of the relevance of an Australian court case to one under English/EU law though ?

9, 12, 16 and 18 only for me. Nevertheless, glad they used "British" not "English".

I am aware of that, still can't believe he didn't get booked for dragging Lambert to the floor. But they had to choose two of Poyet's cheating mob from a bad bunch, and they couldn't use the entirely trustworthy Saint they have on loan as he might not be there next season.
-
There are two typos in that quote, only one of them is deliberate. Ok, ok, you can be MLG.
-
Oh, and even though we almost certainly won't have Umbro shirts next season, they are still churning out the odd shirt for people with unexpired contracts. Like Derry City (you can just about see the reverse of this season's Saints collar).
-
Just seen this as well, if we end up with Errea, FFS. I see Brighton have sold their shirt rights to the same company as have their stadium naming rights now...
-
News to me to be honest.

You must have missed the "IT IS STRIPES" "IT'S NOT STRIPES" debate from July/August...
-
Here's a Puma striped option from Chesterfield's away kit vote for next season... it's bloody awful.
