  1. No, it's our 2008-10 kit. And our stadium prior to 2011 when they replaced the flybe.com seating pattern. Sitting on a mitre ball with the 2009/10 pattern on it. Anyone seeing a common thread here ?
  2. I'd say the 1991 Blue flame away kit was about as close as you can get to Skate colours, a variety of blue shades leading to an overall effect of mid-blue (not navy, sky or teal like our other blue kits), even white shorts with red trim and blue/white/red socks. Dodgy - and lucky we also had the yellow flame kit that season. I can't see Cardiff rebranding - it would be ludicrous for a side that has such well-defined colours over such a long time and are nicknamed the Bluebirds, especially as Swansea have a red/white/green Wales-influenced away kit next season. No doubt as popular as Newport County's Argentina makeover for 1976, or their natty striped tangerine and black shorts of the early 70s. Saints playing in red shirts ? I can see that.
  3. Just as well.
  4. Saints will DEFINITELY be at St Mary's on 14th July for the Liebherr Memorial Cup match (same day as the Olympic Torch comes to St Mary's) - which means the previous years' overseas dates are completely wrong for this year.
  5. I agree, but it has been seven years, and a few things will have changed in our absence.
  6. I just spotted the Championship table on SSN and noted that there were 22 teams below us and the season was over. That took a while to sink in.
  7. Ignoring the pointless, endless expansion argument itself and focusing on the practicalities, I somehow doubt they'd have spent the money upgrading the turnstiles in the Northam before the Reading match (I assume they've done it everywhere else in the ground as well but haven't checked) to use the new smart cards if they were going to replace it within months.
  8. Well for a start, maybe by 2017 it'll ACTUALLY BE CALLED THE PREMIERSHIP again ? Or I suppose we could have just decided to play rugby instead, it's a possibility.
  9. Oh FFS, not again.

Said all along we needed to reclaim it, but I never really accepted we'd have to be above them again before we could.
  11. The empty corporate statements at Fratton have put me right off any kind of club-led branding like this. I don't really mind the one we have on the tv gantry, but they're all over Fratton, telling you how great they think they are. I wonder who paid for them ? Oh yeah, no-one.
  12. You did forget Kelvin at 35...
  13. July 1st.
  14. If it's still here on Monday / Tuesday it has a chance.
  15. Assuming Dovey would be the choice.
  16. I have no idea why people think we should sign players who are worse than the ones we have. It is utter insanity.
  17. It was also on yesterday morning. Annoyingly though, they don't seem to have the rights to 2003. They've been showing the Finals from 1972 sequentially since yesterday but there are gaps where the coverage switched. Bah.
  18. LOL @ "centre half" being used in a discussion about Premier League squad homegrown criteria in the 21st century. Also, the kids don't count as part of the 25 so there's no decision required about Shaw, etc. Also, Wayne Bridge, Upson and Kuszczak would be absolutely terrible signings.
  19. You are correct.
  20. I think Mr Cortese has made this more than clear in the past couple of seasons with his various fan-unfriendly policies.
  21. No chance, I think they're d1cks, but the fact is that anyone who only wants to watch Premier League opposition deserves to have to pay a premium for it. I'm there to watch Saints and have been for the last 7 years.
  22. Saints Innernets FC. Ask Grunty. It's just an excuse for me to repost my overhead kick again, and maybe the one in the second half too. Ooh, hang on, I scored 2 in the Forum match as well, that was Southampton v Southampton... and the ones against Pompey Online... I have them all on video, maybe I'll do a spin off of your spin off. Might have to restrict it to 8 though. Oh, and Pahars' nutmeg on Stam v Man U 1999, Pahars v Skates 2003, Kevin Davies dribble v Everton 1997(ish).
  23. There's only 3 of us so far. Do IFC goals count ?
  24. Make sure you're clear in the OP about the purpose of it...
  25. I knew there was a hair idol for you out there somewhere.
