I'm hoping for something other than that.

No black kits in West Quay, no home socks either. Or any XXL sizes, or mini-kits. Actually I took a photo of what they DON'T have. For those who weren't sure, the socks have yellow logos on as well, not the white ones of Sunderland / Rangers away last season. And they DO have grey feet...
-
The whole collar is elasticated, including the black insert. It's no problem.

Probably based on the image the UI used for their article about it !

Bumped as there's a new article loosely around Footballers and fashion : There's also a more lengthy article on the Ted Bates Statue debacle, but it'll take 35 Facebook likes and a chunk more followers on Twitter to get that to appear. There are buttons to click, it doesn't take long... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ridiculous-Football/156728724399412

What Games Are You Missing This Season Then And Why!?!
The9 replied to dannysfc's topic in The Saints
Will be in Andalucia in September and will miss Birmingham (H) but it's on the box anyway and hopefully someone in Orgiva will have Sky Sports... Though the current plan is to go and see Granada v Villarreal in La Liga which may be at the same sort of time. -
I suppose there's some argument that a good design means more money for the club to spend, but considering our potential funding that seems a tad spurious, and the club is already doing quite the job of trying to squeeze every penny from other revenue streams (and getting false economies like the one caused by screwing up the ST ticket posting, or the bloke returning his ST due to the £1 car park fee).
-
Apart from the hundreds of times they have. The problem the club has here is that they can't possibly know who they've sent the wrong tickets to, so they can't address the solution in a way which doesn't end up with them giving out loads of free tickets. Anyone who has a full ST could claim to have only got 9-23, and there's no way of knowing which doesn't involve putting the onus on people to come back to the TO, costing them to address an error made by the club. Oh, wait a minute, we don't do customer service any more, that's exactly what they're going to do. "Anyone with a 9-23 ST should come to the TO to return their booklet, replacements will not be issued by post, etc. PS we're hiking the car park charge to £5 for what will be your 3rd ST-based visit of the summer". Edit: Following from exit2's comments, it appears the club DO still have a vague grasp of customer service, so can we send anything to the club Freepost, and how are they going to deal with the obvious flaw, i.e. People claiming to have sent it back and then not doing so? Suppose that's the case with all "missing tickets", but no-one's going to slap DUPLICATE on every voucher, are they?
-
Decent article btw. Might have been an idea to back up the stats of stripy winners with stats of percentage of clubs wearing stripes, but I can see why that would have been difficult to identify. Oh and "naïve".
-
I shall answer, as someone who perpetuated a 40-page thread on the home kit design. "Not very".

To be fair, after Withdean any kind of acoustic effect is going to be novel to the 50% of them who haven't seen football anywhere else for 10 years. I drove past it a fortnight ago, it's in a more industrial area than I was expecting, is really poorly signposted (considering it's right next to the A27 and there's a direct exit into their car park) and the whole thing looks like is on a huge slope where it's been built into the hillside! I can see that place snarling up the A27 pretty badly around Falmer on match days, 20,000 people, a main road next to it and one car park? They'd better have some Withdean-esque alternative transport methods planned.

They do now, the original naming rights must have expired. Good job we argued to get St Mary's included as part of the original name or we'd be stuck with Generic Corporate Named Stadium which changes annually.
-
Er, story is a week old and even then they'd already replaced them.
-
The last tight nick shirt was the post-Prem relegation centre-badge Friends Provident one, and that was a design flaw which neglected to elasticate the back of the collar - Umbro won't make that error and there's the "vent" panel in the front for added flexibility too.
-
Nobody bought last season's home kit cheap at the end of last season, as it was never reduced. The away kit was half price up to last week, I assume they've shunted them out of the way now to make room for the home stock. I'll find out tonight IF I'm still going to the West Quay store.
-
Yeah, been doing it since the summer of 2010 when they started the sponsorship and it's been all over the OS for at least 6 months in banner ads. I did a price comparison last summer, and ironically if I switched to one of their other tariffs I saved £220. Suddenly the "free kit" looked like a pretty mean offer, as I could have bought about 5 new Saints shirts with that money if I'd wanted.
-
That's exactly the sort of subliminal mischief I expect from our Nige. He talks in riddles and nonsense, then 2 weeks later you see we've signed someone and all his previous interviews have clearly been saying it for some time. Go back and watch Saints Player from May, I bet he was going on holiday to Cork, taking the missus out for a restaurant but the corkage was extortionate, had bought a corking new tie to wear in the office...
-
Oh and FWIW, I'm glad this fairly credible-sounding piece of information wasn't buried in a transfer megathread.
-
Or to be more accurate, yes, in 2012, but Tunisia are currently 3rd in a group of 5 with the top 2 likely to qualify - they basically have to beat 2nd placed Malawi in Malawi, and if they lose they're out. A draw takes it to a final match against Togo. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Africa_Cup_of_Nations_qualification So they're by no means certain to qualify.

Last season Yahia finally broke into the first team at Lens... who finished 19th of 20.
-
That would suit Martin's development, and don't forget, we're in the Championship now so we're likely not to have matches in international weeks any more.
-
That is correct, but us singing it at a centre back would amuse me, especially based on one random goal he didn't even score.
-
I also want to know what our version of this detail looks like :
-
This is interesting - this is clearly an early mock-up of the Sunderland shirt for this season - note the back - same as the Saints shirt (except the sleeves). And here's the Sunderland shirt as released - ugly diagonals replace the white panel that we've kept. (And a bit hasty with the shirt printing!).
