We've already got one, it went something like : Is this the way to liquidation Pompey gone from the face of the nation Even worse than relegation And they won't be back again. But we decided to sing "Pay Up Pompey" instead.
-
That's ok, they already proved between 2003-9 that they don't need any income with their financial model anyway. Just run up debts and then go into admin owing everyone money except the football creditors. In fact, giving them money is probably going to only give them problems.
-
Are you sure about that ? Cos I could have sworn the only way to pay for STs was how Cortese says so ? That was kinda the problem last year AFAI could tell.
-
Was nice to see you, Tim ! I won't tell Rabbit what you said about him...
-
Get back on the fence, Roger.
-
I'd like us to win 17-0, purely for the irony.
-
LOL, you're coming then ? That was a pretty spooky coincidence !

Sleep as late as possible, other than if interrupted for meat deliveries (bear with me). 12-ish Get lift, usually, from mate to London Rd. Go to bookies, pick up all of the footy slips and a pen. Varsity - maybe food, definitely dump betting slips and don't bother to look at them again. Have some drinks, watch live Sky match 2pm check Jordan Sibleys Twitter for team news. 2:30ish... off to the ground 5:15 back at the pub, prob via Tesco Express to pick up some alcohol. 6pm home to set up Saints Promotion Barbecue we're having!!! 11pm slump in front of MotD/FL Show.

IMHO anything above a 15% price rise will be an atrocity, and they're really missing a trick if they don't bring back an instalment plan. Here's the link to the Ticket Page, with the ST link no longer working... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/TicketNews/0,,10280~1635574,00.html

Just claim you're only following him so you know where he is in order to avoid him. Er, as I am. As far as Puncheon goes, I hope Newcastle pay very good money for him, I'm sure he'll be brilliant for them for 6 weeks.
-
Or "we're", as I've just been reminded. I'm just going to point out, again, that the ST information link on the OS is mysteriously unavailable, when it was working on the weekend, and leave it at that.

As a regular crap song slater on here, I don't have much problem with either, Lallana joined in with his yesterday - but if Connolly hates it (and the finger wagging showed that he at least wasn't keen on it), that'll be the last time I'm singing that one as well. Thumbs up for nananananananana David Connolly from him as he ran away though. And now we've established the precedent of players approving songs, I'm surprised Jaidi didn't just give us the finger.
-
Suggest you re-watch 2004/5 season video (we did actually bring one out as well, didn't we?) to see Kevin Phillips doing for us exactly what he does for everyone else. Connolly was absolutely brilliant yesterday, never stopped running and working hard to create things, and deserved that beautiful long range shot to drop just an inch lower. Man of the Match by an absolute street.

Anywhere I haven't yet been, plus Fratton. So that's possibly Wigan (not been) Blackpool (been to but not for Saints), and West Ham as I haven't been to for ages and not for Saints. Plus possibly Cardiff City Stadium (I hope so, I hate them and it would mean they've royally arsed up promotion again as well as a new ground), and maybe Leeds (been before but not for Saints). Add to that the unvisited grounds of Burnley, Hull, Ipswich, Barnsley, Doncaster and the AmEx for Brighton. Might also get roped into a few others by the missus as she hasn't been to many Championship grounds yet.
-
Right on Ox-Cham, wrong on Mills as far as Saints go, though you could count playing in a higher league on loan as "good for him", and glad I qualified the general "square peg for a round hole" with the stuff about the players needing motivation - which he has certainly provided. "Top 2 minimum expectation" also looks a bit harsh with the hindsight of how well Brighton and Huddersfield have done, but we ARE top 2, and all credit to Adkins for getting us there. Also managed to predict our defeat at MK, which was hardly difficult in the circumstances.
-
Doh, got reeled back in. No, I was contrasting the two. Obviously.
-
Of course underpinning Alpine's point was that with Adkins, Cortese would splash the cash to get us up, which he didn't... but anyway, I'm still too busy enjoying going up to get into all this, wouldn't want people to think I'm not loving it !
-
I've just reread the thread and I'm glad I stuck to slagging off Cortese for his pre-season and early season "mistakes", and didn't criticise the actual appointment of Adkins. The closest I came to being critical is that I'm a little concerned about what Nige will bring if we get to the Prem, but won't worry about that til we get there, and if he's got us there I probably won't care anyway.
-
Ah, I'd love to come, but I'll be in the Northam, nodding and shaking my head at the start of each song.
-
For me it was when Saints ran out at Home Park wearing black, thus making Delldays look like a gimp. Oh alright then, it was when Kelvin held 5 fingers up when walking off after our 41st league match - showed me that not only did the players know what was needed to get promotion, they were actually planning on winning every match and weren't going to rely on Huddersfield dropping points. From that point to this, they have won every match.
-
Well done, you finally got it. I'm now going to retire from this thread to continue grinning inanely about our promotion warmly inside, without kicking anyone's head in.
-
I'd just like us to sing the kind of songs I'd like us to sing, that's not difficult to understand is it ? So, to ensure my future happiness, if the crowd would like to look at me after they've started a song, I'm happy to nod or shake my head. I probably am already anyway. For the record, as a general rule - anything with "red" without "white" is WRONG (for this season only, but replacing "red" with either "Saints" or "whites" is fine). The Jose Fonte song must be change to fit the original Human League beat, and all songs about Cortese and "doing what we want" are banned as they are mongish. Rickie Lambert is "NEARLY" 6ft 3, not "OVER". Also, I'd like it confirmed that it is possible to win football matches and even get promoted without any supporters at all, I'm pretty sure I've seen parks teams do this on a fairly regular basis. Finally, displaying "passion" and "acting like an utter pen15head" are not to be confused, it is also perfectly possible to have one without the other.
-
Nah, that's Rey Mysterio - well the bloke on the left is, the other two are pretending to be him to throw people off the scent.
-
So what you're saying is that "their reward" was seeing Plymouth relegated, as opposed to Saints promoted, right ? Because that's what they were choosing to sing about. It's just sad.
