Aaron Ramsdale - Official: Loaned to Newcastle
Ex Lion Tamer replied to Saint Fan CaM's topic in The Saints
He probably agreed all along but had to make the best of the players he had -
Danny Ings...

How many transfers have we made this summer now? It's a pretty decent number, even if we haven't shelled out on a big one

Sekou Mara - Official: Signs for Strasbourg
Ex Lion Tamer replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
There's never any guarantees that a young player will fulfill their potential. We sign a bunch of them and the successes pay for the failures. It would be madness to stop investing in young players on the basis that they sometimes don't work out -
Depends if the latter is deemed to have higher resale value
-
Sounds highly rated

We've spent to stay still but a couple of quality loans would improve us
-
Then they're unlikely to get the ball off our several defenders
-
Because it draws the other team out and makes space for attacking moves
-
He looked good in a three under Hughes, which is a formation we have returned to recently
-
Also if he's on big wages that we can't ordinarily match then we might insist the transfer fee is reduced to cover it

We'd never have signed Ings on that basis

Adam the Lama to return to Saints? Is this true?
Ex Lion Tamer replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
Best player for ball retention that I can remember seeing at Saints. Makes sense why Martin would want him -
I agree the execution has been bad but I don't look forward to the big clubs getting all the decisions against us again
-
It's not like they're leaving for sideways moves though. They're going to much bigger clubs who've made bigger offers. It's a side effect of us actually picking highly rated staff
-
Imagine if Stewart scores the winner in the playoff final. Suddenly that £12m becomes good value
-
That might be true over his whole time with us but there was at least one season when he was our best player. I remember looking at his age and thinking "I hope we have a plan to replace him". We didn't, his form fell off after Covid and that was one of the reasons we went down
-
Goes right back to Bazunu's decision to kick long. Gifted them the ball back at a crucial time
-
Top man, nice work. My nephew has that condition and your donation means a lot to him and his family
-
Here's how my predictions are going: Alcaraz - 18 - didn't stay but wasn't going to hit it A Armstrong - 16 - now 19 Tella - 15 - didn't stay Sulemana - 9 - nowhere near S Armstrong - 8 - currently on 5 so not too far off Mara - 7 - has 6 so going well Aribo - 6 - has 3 so only halfway Djenepo - 4 - didn't stay Edozie - 3 - has 6 so beat target
-
£100 to https://www.pwsa.co.uk/ please 😊

It's a bit of a chicken/egg situation though. His behaviour may have been a symptom of his mental health condition, whatever it is
-
There absolutely nothing about Charley's conduct since he joined us that would suggest he'll force through a move to Juventus if we don't want it to happen. Quite the opposite in fact
