Will Saints be reducing store prices with the VAT cut as of Monday?
70's Mike replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
You sure , they still charge £9.99 and pay less vat to government and increase their margins. -
totally agree !!!!!!!!!!!!! hat trick against the Skates to those words" we have got to go on and bloody win it now" after the Stamford Bridge Semi Final. Mick knew what makes fans tick, a few of our current crop could learn from him, get in the box quick and make them tackle you, 3 things happen you score, you get tackled or you get a penalty, 66% in your favour

Depends on what you mean by taking the club forward
-
Happy Thanksgiving Tim, your posts always make me think of the good times supporting this club. Soul Cellar Rules OK

Will be there with my 2 sons, acting as my minder. Only chance to see team win is away from home. Hope everyone avoids the Liberal club this season
-
But we did not go a couple up because we pass for passing sake some time and create nothing. They let us do that until the ball got into areas that matter, did you miss the last 20 minutes because they were all over us
-
sort of agree Nick but to be honest the last couple of home games i have sat and watched and am ashamed to admit but did not care about the result anymore, i really am going out of loyalty to the past but i just cannot see where the club is going
-
IT depends on your definition of "murdering them" we sent them to sleep with all our square passing and they only woke up when we tried to go forward, knocked us of the ball and counter attacked. Last 20 minutes they looked more likely to score than us Cold and non productive, this will not bring the crowds back

We started well but as Plymouth stepped up their game we faded badly. In the first half they were prepared to let us stroke the ball around but clamp down on us as we approached the box, so basically there keeper did not have a save to make. Second half they clamped down further up the field and got theirselves back in the game. Clubs are sussing we are a one trick pony at home and basically we NEED to have an alternative or the rest of the season at home is going to be poor

Mugs like me paid that price

Your maths may be a bit out , no one who has 1million shares paid £700000 for them. That is 70p a share i think Crouch paid the most at around 65p. You forget that many of Lowe gang paid virtually nothing for their shares during the reverse take over

Woodward - Rupey's next 'Cost Effective' Addition?
70's Mike replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
may be not , i believe BOC are not over impressed with his efforts -
that is the interesting thing many of the lads at the academy were attracted to the club when we were still a premiership club, the big issue is are the next crop as good as Lallana etc?
-
but that is the concern Lowe and his cronies did not pay that much for their shares so the current crash in share prices is only a paper loss. of course Wilde paid a lot of money for his so may well want more.

define decent offer ?

Woodward - Rupey's next 'Cost Effective' Addition?
70's Mike replied to Channon's Sideburns's topic in The Saints
How can we afford him? We cannot afford a decent centre back ? -
we have never been in a position to keep our best players but we have also never activily tried to get rid of them. What makes you sure 23k would not be enough people, unless you are David Jones, Rupert or a Barclays employee you cannot know what the current level of expenditure is ? If it has not been cut since the June accounts Rupert has failed badly , i suspect a lot of bad news was humped into the accounts to June hence the very distorted Chairmans report enabling Rupert and David Jones the opportunity to blamr previous regimes, which is ironic because Jones waspart of that one to Football fans are fickle but they do turn up to watch success winning teams .
-
All very true but the big flaw is that he has alienated the one thing his plan needs THE FANS. you can only cut so many costs , you eventually need an income in the premiership days it was handed to him on a plate , he has shown of late that he has no idea how to attract new "customers" to buy his product

will accept 2/3 million
