not with these tactics at home
-
cannot see Holland appointing Jan
-
the only thing worth praise is the 13500 of us mugs who keep going, hoping that things will get better.
-
Lets sign Mr Wu. Our home form has nothing to do , imo, with skill level it is solely down to poor tactics and a naive approach to CCC football. Having pace out wide in the CCC is only any good if you have someone capable of challenging the lumps that most teams employ at centre half. The last 2 home games , against poor opposition , have been thrown away at the altar of 4-5-1
-
so we are down to a hardcore of 13366 which is less than the 13500 home fans at the Dell in the last season played there.
-
Probably true but with the tactics we employ it will not matter who plays at home, as the rest of the home league games have shown, we will flatter to deceive
-
Nothing to do with the players. I have never agreed with the route Rupert led us down BUT WE ARE WHERE WE ARE, and at least we could make the best use of the players we have available. 4-5-1 , player in the hole what ever you call it DOES NOT WORK IN HOME GAMES. We hand the inititive to the opposition , rarely threaten there goal and just lack a threat. We drag everyone back for every set piece which just allows the opponents to throw men forward, tonight for every city corner 21 players were in our half, why drag Thompson back he is no taller than the corner flag stick him on the half way line and you immediately get them to drop 2 back. Managers have sussed us out , they push forward stopping Kelvin rolling it out , when he did they were on Skacel and Cork very quickly. CCC teams normally have two slow lumps in the middle of their defence, having pace out wide is no good , get 2 with pace up front and drag them around at the moment even if DMG beats one the other defender just covers his mate. The club are committing financial suicide with performances like that, the players are trying to make the system work but tonight , for all their passion and effort they are being led by donkeys

Are we better off than when Crouch was here?

as the capacity in the last few years at the Dell was 15000 of which 1500 were away fans , i think the hardcore was 13500. -
1 NIL WILL do , lets turn over the cider drinkers. Leaving in about half hour Stupid kick off time
-
I have been told the OB have been warning Pubs etc that they expect trouble in town tomorrow with City fans arriving lunchtime for a drinking session before the game
-
difficult as most of us are obviously seen as second class supporters, i am seriously thinking about sending my season ticket back over this meeting of the few
-
as i was not invited to the big meeting , i am considering withdrawing my support
-
sorry but how was it open to anybody but it was kept "hush hush". ?
-
WHY DID FORECAST come here ?
-
I TO hope we can turn over a big side, but i would not hold to much stall in a pre season friendly or mickey mouse cup result. I hope Jan sticks with a settled side and builds on Saturdays performance to give ALL the lads confidence, an early goal for us Saturday will help or else the anxiety from the crowd will transmit to the players
-
not away i know but Newcastle at the Dell night game , saints behind and then score 3 at the Archers in last few minutes.

that is the big question ? will it get better if say Surman and Lallana go in January ? -
best saints side i ever saw 1984. not the best players but easily , imo, best team
-
Glad they did not show much , lets keep our goalscoring secret until we beat City on Sky next Saturday.
-
bit concerned you do not know that we won the cup in 1976 , 21 years before Rupert took over.
-
Wonder how they survive

Preston 2-3 Saints - You've Gotta be Havin' a Laugh
70's Mike replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
the real key is to build on this and win at home , on Sky, next Saturday. IT is a must if the financial constraints are to lessen we must start winning home games -
your last sentence is the 64000 dollar question? the danger is that the ones who make it will be the ones that go
