Jan is learning very quickly that in real football the nasty other team do not fold just because we can out pass them, unless we start putting the goals away when on top Jan will have to top himself
-
as you posted this at after 7.45 nor do you
-
Cov were all over us because they changed to 4-4-2 and ended up 4-2-4 as they pressed for a win.
-
Just got home , really was a repeat of other home games lots of posesssion , even craved Coventry open but no cutting edge. Defence was better but still prone to silly mistakes and an inability to clear the ball which led to the equalizer. Have to question Jan's use of subs , 1-1 at home and he brings Peckhart on , i thought great two up front , but no he pulls DMG wide when the lads confidence was up. Having Skacel and Euell on the pitch obviously helped because we won some 50/50 challenges.

Hope you are right Nick but the fear is a few of these will be shipped out and someone else gains from them" cutting their teeth" No one is questioning that they care and do not want to win BUT it is not enough either due to injuries or design they are out of their depth as a collective unit.

Agree all i was saying was in response to a post blaming Crouch for wages going up
-
Exactly Leon Crouch is an easy target but it was Wildes boys who increased wages and sanctioned these deals. Luvvies have a pop at Leon because he was prepared to do something Rupert/Askham and co have never done, put his hand in his pocket to help the club we partly owns,
-
finding it hard to predict because i cannot even make up my own mind whether to go or not, even with my ST
-
ONE BIG difference between us and the Gooners is that there shareholders are individually wealthy and have not sought to make their wealth from the football club. basically the reverse takeover gave us a corporate structure built on financial sand and relegation blew the sand away

Could be part of Ruperts master plan of revenge on the supporters of SFC

How long until the first Lowe Out chant starts tomorrow?
70's Mike replied to Huffton's topic in The Saints
Lucky you Wes , my 2 sons (20and 14) cannot be bother anymore , after a wasted trip to Swansea the eldest is not coming home from Uni for the first time in 3 years for a game and the other one is goin bowling with his mates. -
but the difference is Gayboy pumped enough money into the skates that their income was the equivalent of a 50k stadium
-
QUOTING POMPEY IS NOT A GOOD EXAMPLE they are in bigger debt than us

i think the "internet " fans as you put it are the more moderate ones, people who sit near me have no ounce of support for Rupert. -
For those with company law knowledge

the way the fa have dished out points deductions over the last year , irrespective of which bit went into administration i think we would suffer a deduction of points -
where we are and other clubs as well was always going to happen from the day the football clubs voted that the home side would keep its gate thus making the biggest clubs bigger. Until their is a salary cap or shared gate money nothing will change.

Whilst i normally agree with you , i am not convinced over this one. Lowe and his little gang are like those lizards you see on danger programmes, the waves hammer against the rocks but when the water clears they are still clinging on. My fear is that if Administration follows relegation that they would buy the business from the Administrator , who is almost certainly going to be an associate of Guy.

christ mate you take more than me
-
agreed but they have my money but as Toomer said on another thread for our age group football has never just been about the game. Friendships built over years on the old terraces are hard to walk away from.
-
sums up my position to, friends i have made over the last 47 years of support , guys i only see now on match days, that is a lot to walk away from. What i struggle to understand is that Lowe and Wilde only seem interested in one side of the equation cutting costs little or no attempt is being made to increase revenue. I am activitly involved in a youth football club running over 20 sides under 15 in previous seasons we have been inundated with special offers to bring the kids plus a couple of adults, these kids always buy a program , something to eat and a drink , but this year nothing.

not sure if that was true in November 2007
-
Personally no because i do not have enough money BUT many football clubs surive in this country because of loans from their Directors or owners. Many Directors of small businesses (which SLH is) give personal guarantees regarding overdrafts etc. We are now reaping the rewards of being a plc and a decision taken by Askham 11 years ago to maintain control by an underfunded takeover by people who were after a return from a football club which just does not happeen from top to bottom
-
why many clubs in the CCC and below rely on financial support from their owners by way of loans etc.
-
exactly we have a group of shareholders/directors who do not really care about the football club, many clubs in the CCC and below are supported financially by their owners. some never paid a penny for their shares due to a dodgy reverse takeover
