  1. if that is the rule then so be it, of course it will be applied when they visit us?
  2. Would not know only tend to visit when saints are playing,
  3. many of them sit in the seats next to the box Sky used to have, as do the players wifes
  4. they shut the industrial estate of before, double parked the coaches and marched us down the lane behind the Milton goal
  5. Unless they shut the Eastern Road and turn the traffic lights out at the end of it, all coaches will be targets as they were in the relegation season especially by the Good Companions pub,as the Eastern Road is the main road i cannot see it happenning the only plus is that side of the ground is away from the station and Fratton road which is the route from the centre. Still i will take by 2 lads to mind the old chap, i did my stint of active service at Fratton during the 70's and 80's, not sure if Milkins testamonial was late 60's , now that was a night
  6. Maine Rd Highbury Plough lane Baseball Ground Goldstone Ayresome Park Elm Park Burnden Park Highfield Road Filbert Street Ninian Park Gay Meadow The Dell Wembley Eastville Roker Park Boothferry Road Hull's Old Ground Layer Road Colchester Plough Lane Many happy memories of days out to these places, Ayresome Park was always Cold even on the day KK scored to put us top of the top flight for the first time in the club history. The world of football has changed and mostly for the better or course we can take a trip back in time when we visit the 19th century at Fratton
  7. do not normally agree with Dune, i totally do. If we only pick up a few points during the month we will still be in touch, just need to be within a few points at turn of the year.
  8. Long may we slip under the radar, especially Meridian
  9. define success? when i was growing up all the grown ups used to say the Saints Board did not want promotion, but we did it 67. from that point on the club went on a 40 year long joy hire at 57 i am up for another 40 years taking on the big boys, turning them over every now and then
  10. where do you move them to
  11. those were the days we had a radio station and first class catering
  12. the FA would be broke within 12 minths, good at spending others money is Harry
  13. Catchment size is important but eventually it is continued success on the pitch which determines attendance, at the Dell we had a hardcore of 13500, that has slowly increased to about 18000 today. During the current economic climate and where football clubs seem to be burying their heads in the sands over ticket prices i do not expect that hardcore to increase until promotion is virtually assured
  14. Did you include Winchester
  15. NO Nothing
  16. Billy was a drinking mate of mine back in 70's, top bloke
  17. Totally disagree beating them by any score is all that counts. the 84 and 76 wins at Fratton were 1nil with goals in both in the last few minutes THAT is inflicting real pain by the time the 4th went in during the relegation season we were all to numb to care what they were chanting
  18. NO the man who appointed them out of their depths did that
  19. His father in law, Billy, is a builder
  20. very much like all forums, people forming opinions based on radio commentaries and second hand reports rather than being at game
  21. 70's Mike

    Frazer R

He needs to stay fit because Cork is better in midfield than RB
  22. Good performance against a side who came to spoil the party, we toughed it out and then took them apart at times.Paced ourselves in heat,Keep this up and NC will be making a few more bob in the car park on away days
  23. Cup and 5th in premiership, because that means we got promoted somewhere
  24. Cotterill wants him on loan
