  1. I've seen a few people praising Redmond on this thread, but I wanted to do so myself. I thought he was very good yesterday and surprised one or two weren't impressed. He really caused the opposition problems with his movement, but what impressed me most was his ball retention. Time after time he held the ball up when under pressure and came out of tight areas with the ball. Losing Mane was always going to hurt us and finding someone with that extreme pace and trickery was perhaps going to be impossible, but what Redmond seems willing to do is dribble, dribble, dribble and then release when it is on. Quick passing is of course important, but there is also a need for ball retention in the opponents final third - it keeps us high up the pitch, allows players to push up/make runs and stops the ball going backwards all the time in our efforts to keep it. He certainly does that and offers just enough pace to stretch teams. I have to say he has come on a fair bit since I watched him at Brum. He still looks full of confidence, but now also assured that he is doing the right things. He also looks like he is already very comfortable in this side, like he has been here for years. I guess the one thing that will be questioned is the number of goals, but if the side plays better and creates more with him down the middle that is all that matters.
  2. It's very hard not to like Romeu.
  3. announcement expected today about next stage of sales, so they might say how many have gone, especially if its a lot as that will encourage the buying of memberships.
  4. I hadn't considered that, but realistically how many people bought a membership this summer but hadn't been to a game for two years? I doubt there were any. The window for `members' to buy Inter tickets is large. Only one reason for that - to encourage more people to fork out £25. Can't fault the clubs business techniques. I'm just an old **** that remembers when it was a football `club'. Hay ho.
  5. so fans that spend £25 on a membership now (perhaps worried they might miss out) but haven't been to a game for a couple of years get priority over fans that have attended in the recent past? This trying to squeeze every last penny out of fans is what does my head in. Yes they are a business not a charity, but do me a favour. Rewarding fans that are most loyal makes sense and I certainly can't argue with how they have sold tickets, but this doesn't do that.
  6. Inter to make it to general sale then do we think?
  7. Anyone got an update on ticket numbers? Not sure I want to pay the £25 ticket tax, i.e. membership unless I have to.
  8. isn't that lower tier the lowest priced ticket, specifically for concessions or is that the same tier at the other end?
  9. I would have thought the earlier `riskier' mate assisted ones will have the worst view.
  10. agreed. It seems like a rather ****ty ploy by SFC to tempt fans into buying a membership.
  11. I bet there are a few people who bought tickets using a mates STs who now face the dilemma of whether to buy a second ticket or risk it...I suspect there will be a few spares knocking around.
  12. I suspect there is a lot of people buying tickets using mates ST and banking on checks being light or non existent.
  13. How many members do we have? Can't imagine many got suckered into paying £25 for the right to buy a ticket...
  14. I suspect it will just be members tomorrow and then general sale the day after.
  15. I think there will be quite a lot of fans that don't go often but are always up for a big game that are waiting for it to go beyond St holders. Sent from my D5803 using Tapatalk
  16. I assume they will make that announcement around 5 or 6pm today?
  17. I'd of thought those that attend a fair few away games attended in the recent past were much more likely to go to Milan, so that percentage take up will naturally drop a lot once you get to zero aways.
  18. likewise, although being within touching distance of watcing from the San Siro will be incredibly frustrating
  19. Enjoy. I hope I get to see it from inside the stadium and not a bar outside!
  20. Also it was not a fluke that we carved Arsenal open leading directly to the free kick on the edge of the box. Whether there was actual contact I don't know, but if the ref had played on we would have had a man clean through with just cech to beat.
  21. Painful defeat. Fonte does lay hands on him, but it's six of one. We've had our share of fortune in recent years with pens, but we could do with one or two going our way in the next few weeks. For periods we looked decent, but during others we seemed to park the bus, which is a tactic I don't enjoy, but has been effective nonetheless. I don't care what anyone says, results or otherwise, the quality of the side is not as good as it was a few years back and we no longer run games. That said there were some encouraging signs in terms of getting between the lines and creation of genuine chances. Mind you if we are only going a few per game then as the season progresses relying on Shane Long to take them leaves us with a problem. He's never been clinical and we actually we need more goals than last year...hmm.
  22. Agreed. I wouldn't touch this site with a barge pole. Buying in Milan makes much more sense to me.
  23. missed that. Shame. Wondering who will actually be able to get a ticket. Non season ticket holders for example. 5000 is maybe still quite a lot, when you factor in time off work and cost, but Milan is quite a draw.
