  1. not a scooby. My experience is that airlines leave it as late as humanly possible before cancelling flights, so most likely you will be travelling over before they tell you your return has been cancelled.
  2. If it goes ahead the general strike on Friday is going to be a nightmare. The rail strike is between 9am and 5pm, ATC all day: 0.00 to 23.59. I know these sometimes get called off though...
  3. Very well done Sir. Observational comedy at its best.
  4. Bertrand really is a far better player than I gave him credit for. He makes the game look easy but is one of our best weapons going forward. A good example was when he sucked Mahrez in with a subtle drop of the shoulder then put the afterburners on forcing the foul in a very dangerous area just outside the box. Tadic apart, I thought with Mane's departure we would be seriously lacking in players that can create something from nothing, but he is another that can do something other than simple passing. Decent display and we seem to be full of confidence. Thought we would have been worthy winners. Enjoying the fact we are controlling games through possession. I thought those days were over. I wonder if we can do the same when we play the very top sides.
  5. No pies, pasties, sausage rolls or beer for away fans. Football catering at its finest. Don't these ****s want the money to buy new table cloths or what?
  6. Rovers well deserved their 2-0 lead, ****ed up for their goal and did well to hold on in the end. The skates had chances. They look a small side to me. Two decent passing teams at this level though. Donnys Marquis was the class act. Too good for the fourth division. The North stand has a new breed of skate. Teenage girls giving the ****** ****** ******** to gents like Coppinger. I should get an away season ticket there, every time I go, Saints games apart, the skates lose. Great day.
  7. I'm probably off to support Donny at **** Park on Saturday. Hopefully Rovers will do the honours.
  8. one of the worst games I've seen this season, anywhere.
  9. In a way I hope so, because he was woeful. If he was injured then that would explain why he was so laboured.
  10. Tadic shows in a minute exactly how average the rest have been.
  11. Blimey. Puel doesn't mess about. Like it.
  12. so much mediocrity out there. If they recognise we are in fact pretty average and step it up, we will be in trouble. That said, we can hold on until half time and then maybe come out faster second half.
  13. Hesketh is having a mare so far.
  14. Smallest Saints side ever?
  15. ask for a refund.
  16. he did at Sheff United in that infamous cup game. Woeful display, but I agree with other posters that its tough judging players on intermittent displays. Players need a good run in the side to blossom. Whether he really is good enough is hard to say.
  17. not sure. Will ask him now. He will have a purchase history, but he's lived in Sweden a long time, so not sure how far back it goes.
  18. my guess is that Fonte's agent tipped off the journalist who could then write the story having got a `reliable' source. My guess might be wrong though.
  19. Will the club make Inter tickets available to people without a history from 2014/15 onwards? I have a friend living in Sweden that is coming but hasn't got a recent history so hasn't been able to get a ticket with his name on it thus far.
  20. do kids still play headers and volleys or three and in?
  21. For those taking the opportunity to go to Jerusalem whilst you are there (you really must) keep an eye out for Jerusalem Syndrome.
  22. cant find the news item you refer to due to the new web design. What exactly did it say?
  23. You never see kids playing cricket or football on the street these days. Too many cars and fear of weirdos. Also is there anywhere these days that you can get away with smacking a ball against a building/wall (left and right foot) for hours on end as is kids used to do?
  24. Why has Les revealed this to anyone outside the club thereby giving away a possible critical advantage? Or is it in fact a very clever way of promoting the club to street footballers and their parents that perhaps wouldn't look at the club in a good light, for whatever reason? I.e. Les attempting to give us more street cred (no doubt there are gangsta/blood type phrases that would work better here, but I'm too old for that ****).
  25. I assume Everton were the first though?
