  1. personally I'd prefer a player that can kick a ball further than I trust him.
  2. I've seen him maybe 12 times live and not once did he ever play up front. Left midfield or left wing. Whatever. Ings won't be allowed to leave. Burnley want to stay in the division and know they need Ings to have any chance of that.
  3. my guess is no seeing as Boyd doesn't play up front, Burnley don't and won't sell Ings, are we are not looking for a central striker having signed Long. I've been wrong before though.
  4. it took a little while for MoPo to warm to him. Perhaps he looks terrible in training (5 a sides). He's perhaps not as neat and tidy as other players, but he really covers the ground and gets the team moving. He's not just a headless chicken, he makes intelligent forward bursts too that stretches team and creates space for others. Some of that might not be easy to see on the training pitch, but I suspect when RK watches games back on video he starts to see how often Cork has an effect on the game.
  5. Do this mean that we now know the parent company is the one paying the wages in both Taider and Osvaldo's cases, hence we can terminate the loan deal without having to worry about getting Inter to agree to take him back on. or was that common knowledge?
  6. I'm a big fan of Cork, but exactly how much is he worth wage wise? Maybe his agent is asking for a five year £50k, £60k, £70k, £100k a week contract. Who knows? Perhaps RK therefore wants to get a very good look at him before committing a huge chunk of his available wage bill to a player he perhaps hasn't seen very much of.
  7. Spurs fans don't seem too fussed about Townsend and they also seem to be crying out for a wide player signing.
  8. Holtby going to Hamburg (possibly) according to Spurs fan I spoke to today.
  9. and it worked wonders. Big Vic just eats Morgan's space and slows the play down too much IMO. The move to one holding midfielder (Morgan) made us much more effective in that game. Maybe we'll swap it back depending on the opponent.
  10. it's no wonder players are happy to take the big wages to sit on the bench. Not many splinters these days:
  11. Sam Wallace, chief football writer at Independent reports an increased offer for JRod with Townsend thrown in and Townsend happy to join Saints.
  12. maybe he just wants four senior centre backs at the club to cover the two positions, with Jos possibly leaving as he wants games.
  13. Diarra was a quality player when he left the skates for Madrid. Not seen him since then. Wonder if he still is as good.
  14. surely by now everyone has worked out that Boyd, although a decent player, just simply is not good enough for the prem?
  15. He's keeping his options open and in a way I'm glad he's not just another player taking a massive wage rise under the false pretence that he's actually going to honour that elongated contract. If you are not going to stay here five years then don't sign a five year deal. Sadly it may mean we miss out on the bumper transfer fee if he bides his time. Player power.
  16. He certainly was yesterday. Ran the game. West ham CB didn't manage to take the ball from him once.
  17. An away win and we have the best manager in the world, bets players and who can stop us breaking the stranglehold of the big clubs? Enjoy the win, but don't get carried away.
  18. Yep, everyone knows it was more than that. Lambert, Lovren, Lallana, Chambers, Shaw, Guly, Sharp, Forte, Barnard, Osvaldo, Taider, Robinson, Turnbull, Leggitt and Nehemie ;-)
  19. Right winger maybe nice. Right back we don't really have cover. I'm far from convinced by Yoshida, but maybe Gardos will he good.
  20. Would,he nice is Pelle got the goal. Having a few early goals under his belt will keep people off his back.
  21. Nothing like hearing, "and the bloody scummers won away an all..."
  22. Pelle was tremendous. The ball stuck like glue. Tadic is smooth as silk but seems happy to work too. Thought we improved when we took JWP off and dare I say it we are a far better side to watch, as we were last season, without victor. Smoother and much more forward looking. Totally deserved win and could easily have been more.
  23. Went for 6 month deal for £22. Best streams I have found on the inter web.
  24. JWP is busy, but in the final third he is limited. Need more from Long.
  25. I think so.
