  1. if anyone has a spare ticket let me know.
  2. I've got a 6 month Elite membership of sports nation HD. You pay the fee using paypal, which reassured me. Great streams. Includes american football as well if that is your bag.
  3. Things go from good to better. The only negative for me was Longs inability to finish. He just doesn't look confident that he will bury a chance when it comes. Other than that, happy days.
  4. we always seem to **** it up against QPR. Hopefully tomorrow will be different. Personally I am more than happy to get on the back of the skates Cunflaps, Traore and Kranjcar.
  5. At last we look like we actually are interested in the cup. Brilliant. Can't wait for the draw.
  6. as important, on half the wages?
  7. that's only Rene Meulensteen's opinion, not necessarily the managers, albeit backed up by the fact Shaw hasn't been selected, by tapered by the fact he has been injured.
  8. Best left back in the league last season bar none. That's my opinion of Shaw and it's as valid as the next one, be that the England manger, a thick pro or 442 journalist. Baines by the way wasn't great last season. He had an injury at the start, took a while to get going and faded at the end. His display at SMS for example was woefully short of an England full back (what on earth am I saying, if Johnson can play for England so can I). Most peoples assessment of him, including Roy's seem to have been on his performances the season before, in which he was outstanding. Again my opinion. I think bears assessment is pretty accurate. Defensively he was tremendous. No one beat him. Add to that he was strong on the air as well. That back post was his. I would argue that he didn't bust a gut to get back on many occasions, but he was fit not superhuman. On the attacking sense he was a brilliant out. There wasn't a left back in the league that turned defence into attack like he did. He beat players, got to the byline and got shots off. If a couple had gone in his attacking play would be lauded. He will get a couple this season and the word development will be used a lot. One element of his play not mentioned is his decision making. Knowing when to bomb on, when to take his man on and when to stop and go backwards or square were first class last season. In footballing terms he has an old head on young shoulders. Bertrand has started well, but we will miss Shaw at both ends of the pitch.
  9. lower league tie up with Blackburn innit
  10. is he suggesting Forster has a `must play if fit' type contract (do those actually exist?) meaning Boruc can't possibly dislodge him?
  11. My guess it they are not. we are. The ease in which we could cancel the Taider season long loan suggests that Inter were paying Taider's wages (therefore little difference to them if he was in Soton on Milan - just another training kit to wash), which would mean we are paying Osvaldo's wages. Just a guess of course.
  12. Doubt he will have spent all that wedge only to find out a week later he can't play. No reason to drop the current shirt holders as they have played well. Having said that Forren was a few bob.
  13. he was here for the last January window as well. Didn't sign anyone mind you.
  14. Sense from a hull point of view I meant.
  15. Ramirez to Hull makes sense to me. Perfect countryman buddy for their new star striker to help ease him into life in the Uk and the prem. Not to mention Ramirez can open teams up and Hull need a little of that amongst their workman like side.
  16. will be interesting to see him lead the line there. If he subsequently shines that might be good for England.
  17. I notice some pretty decent long range goals in his youtube videos. Just saying like.
  18. One Pompey fan got a fractured skull and ten stitches in a nasty head wound (a photo was knocking round twitter earlier).
  19. With the ease in which we cancelled the move it suggests that it was Inter that was paying his wages not us, otherwise Inter might have refused to allow him back (as they would then have to pick up his wages again). I guess that means we must be paying Osvaldo's wages. Strikes me we have missed out on a Inter Milan player free of charge (including wages). Can we go back and pick another one?
  20. Surman back to Bournemouth permanently. Their kit really is ugly by the way.
  21. also he really needs to play off another striker. Not too many playing two central strikers these days.
  22. Maybe it doesn't make sense to have medical equipment that might only be used 10 times a year just sitting there getting dusty? Genuine question, are any medicals done at training grounds?
  23. I used to go to school with Roger in Titchfield. True story.
  24. this is what I like about getting a decent new coach in from somewhere like Holland. they know who are the best players in the league that they can sign. Tadic a prime example.
  25. do players now always make a 100% full recovery taking them back to where they were if not better? His game is about pace. Will that be there for sure? It's a massive injury. I'm sure he can play, but will he have that cutting edge?
