No idea why anyone would suggest the keeper should of saved the goal today, but at the same time I do think he has struggled since the Villa game with his decision making in terms of when to come and when not. He has been rather rooted to his line at times including today, although he was better in this game coming and punching on two occasions and hopefully is gradually getting his confidence back. When he does we will have a real keeper on our hands.

What a load of ********. Some of us fans don't just want a day at Wembley, we want to see our side win trophies, a proper trophy, one that no one can ever take away from us. 20 odd continuous seasons in the top flight was great, but I'd swap them all for a title. The league cup is not a title, but one major trophy in our existence is poor and last night was an opportunity to go one step closer to making it two. If you don't want to see us win trophies why the **** are we playing the game? My tuppence worth about last night. Decent turn out, perhaps a little muted, but we had very little to shout about. Its up to players to get the crowd lifted as United did. It's got to the stage in my life where witnessing events is almost as important as seeing us win and I actually was not concerned about going behind. Forster made two good saves but he flapped for crosses and since Villa has lost all confidence when deciding when to come and when not. Normal service has resumed at SFC. When Geroud came on and the game changed as he dominated Yoshida. We didn't keep the ball as well as we had done and mane and Mayuka offered nothing. Very impressed by Toby in midfield. Yet again we fail to beat one of the big sides despite playing well. Got to,take our chances as these sides create plenty of their own.

All keepers have a mistake in them, so tonight's howler is not something to,judge him by, besides Boruc made a few of those himself. What I want to see is a world class save or two, which Boruc offered, otherwise we may as well have stuck with Boruc.
