  1. Always thought Morgan was the most likely to go to be honest. Doesn't make me feel any better seeing it actually happen. Not sure about Spurs as Dembele is a beast, but an absolutely perfect signing for Arsenal.
  2. The deals for Shaw and Lallana were being negotiated long before lambert left. Him leaving had bearing on the other two deals IMO.
  3. Is that your prediction? With or without Morgan and Lovren?
  4. Strange you have that memory seeing as Lallana never left the bench in that game. Just for the record we played 442 with Walcott on one side Dyer the other and best and mcgoldrick up front.
  5. Not sure about £60m, but agree with your post.
  6. Things change. Getting a move to Liverpool, champions league football and a £25m contract were a million miles away at that point. My advice to you is to not bother listening to manager and player interviews because they are all a complete waste of time. It's all a load of ********, with them just saying exactly what the fans want to hear. Just watch the football...
  7. Abso ****ing lutely. We had the best squad in years and this was the season to go for the cup win. Wasted opportunity that might come round for a long long time.
  8. Probably there were one or two Leeds fans saying the same thing as Cantona walked out their door.
  9. Lose Morgan and Lovren and avoiding relegation might be the order of the day. Take top class players out of a side and all you have left is mediocrity and at this level that won't win games. Yes the money is there, but signing players that are good enough and hit the ground running is far from easy. Even the best managers and scouts get it wrong and who knows if we have either at the helm. What will be...
  10. Don't get me wrong, I'm bitterly disappointed to see these players leave, and for figures well below what I value them at, but having said that do you not think it was now or never for Lallana?
  11. Our side is being decimated, dismantled and stripped of its best talent and you think we will compete with Liverpool next season. Probably is not the word I'd use.

    Left back behind

I keep reading this phrase conveyor belt when it comes to the academy. It's not a conveyor belt at all. We have just had a rich vain of top class players coming through, but that won't happen every year and it certainly won't happen in every position time after time. Targett might not even make it, never mind be outstanding. Players will need to be bought.
  13. Just saw that photo on page 31 of Shaw holding up a man u shirt. All I can think of to sum up how I feel is `****ety bye'.
  14. That's a very good point.
  15. Agreed. If we wanted a stronger squad you retain your best players and replace your weakest with the massive tv money.
  16. A really top notch player or a load of cash that may or may not be well spent. I know which I'd prefer. Mind you that choice didn't really exist as the player wanted out.
  17. He signed for dynamos Moscow yesterday.
  18. It will be impossible to know how much of a loss it is because other player are going, but I recall how we suffered after Bale left. He was also our whole left side and best attacking threat. I fear the loss of Shaw will reduce space across the park. If we buy well then maybe we will be fine, but all transfers are gambles, whilst he was a sure thing.
  19. A totally one footed right Back played at left back? No thanks. Talk about settling for second best. When we are shipping mattresses you know it's a fine line between winning and losing. Having a left back at left back seems like a better idea to me.
  20. How on earth is losing Shaw good news?
  21. I find it hard to believe that a single saints fan offered that opinion considering the hype surrounding Shaw prior to his debut. If they did then you'd be right in your assessment of them.
  22. Exactly how I feel. Simply do,not understand saints fans more than happy with at that fee. Who the **** do they think we are going to bring in? You can only play eleven and our eleven will be worse next season. Shaw was such a huge part of our game last season. Massive loss, which will be hidden sightly by the the other departures assuming Lallana goes too.
  23. Doesn't seem that much of a stretch. If you believe the papers They have offered £34m, we want £40m.
  24. Perhaps the £20m goes towards wages, paying off previous transfer fees or even paying off some of the huge amount of funds she has 'given' to club out of the kindness of her heart. Whatever is I don't think there is any reason to use that phraseology when talking about the lady that funded our promotions through the league is there?
  25. No idea if the mirror or mail is true, but nice to read these huge figures rather than the poxy ones. I said £37m for Shaw at it looks like it might get close to that figure to prise him from us.
