  1. there's that little fella who scored quite an important a goal at Wembley. You can add Steve Mills, Mark Whitlock, Mark Blake, Paul Moody and Calum Chambers if you think Petersfield is skate territory and Pat Earles if the wonderful Titchfield is seen in the same way.
  2. "Never forget Darren Anderton was told by the Stripey Scouts that he was just to gawky, and not good enough for them. That cost them almost 2 million almost 23 years ago." I'll never forget Mark Chamberlain refusing to allow his son to sign for some two bit club, that he had actually played for himself, that has had a woeful youth system for as long as I remember, in favour of Saints, which you could say cost them £12-15m. Sicknote went for £1.75m by the way. Almost £2m I suppose, but roughly a `Jed Wallace transfer fee' amount short.
  3. until we are beating decent outfits like Chelsea and Manure 6-1, I vote that we do our utmost to keep our best players. Young legs aren't necessarily better legs and they certainly won't be faster (is there a faster CM than Morgan anywhere?). I noticed that Morgan tweeted about sharing his life over the last 5 months with a lady friend. Is she from here and might that encourage him to stick around? London is not far, but Turin is.

    Gardos rumours?

Not a chance we will recoup the fee, nor that a Romanian club would have the funds to pay it. He hasn't impressed when I've seen him. He was woeful in The Sheff United game for example. Like all, players he needs a run of games, but maybe it's better he doesn't get them as it means we have some fit players performing well ahead if him. If Toby doesn't come back then things change dramatically.

    Back up keeper

How long is Forester really out for? If Forster is not out too long then some top keepers are going to be reluctant to come knowing they will be second choice three months later. Could we get a top class Brazil or US league bound player on loan for half a season if such as thing exists? Is Boruc out of contract by the way?
  6. Isn't the fact it's a bland off the shelf shirt with very few design features exclusive to saints exactly what most negative opinions are about? If you paid £50 for a main course at a fancy restaurant that was as described but very bland would you not have a negative opinion?
  7. putting to one side the very questionable decision to wear football club branded leisure wear, IMO no man over the age of 18 should be seen in an adidas tracksuit top unless of course you are Joseph Simmons or Darryl McDaniels.
  8. and if you have frequented **** park this year you might want to remark on how the Tesco has ruined the view and whether a clock of hot water is the next thing to spend the Wallace money. You get to see the results at the end. Milton End was my preferred stand of course. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/the-great-pompey-survey-match-day-experience-1-6749563
  9. oh joy, the Skate News will have reignited the MENSA sponsored `Wallace release clause' debate again with this article http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-braced-for-wallace-release-clause-interest-1-6748825

    Djuricic

The fitter he has got the better he has looked.
  11. prefer our shirt to that Stoke one because it doesn't have those terrible features on the arms, or a Stoke badge.
  12. football mugs all of us.
  13. I guess that's why there wasn't £50 price tags.
  14. I don't buy these overpriced pieces of tat. Prefer to spend my money on going to games. Bring back Navy shorts.
  15. could not agree more. Looks ****e in the middle. Stick it on the left and it would balance the club badge nicely. The colour looks darker (richer) in the video than the promotional image above. Hope the shorts are a dark navy colour...
  16. Would it be fair to say the `Trust' is currently struggling a little for decent committee members? Or has the stock of been replenished as an overfished lake would be? I must say that looks a tough old job that, working for nowt, with all and sundry watching every single word said/written and more than willing to take a pop at you now that the hard work saving them has been completed and now success no matter what the cost required. No idea why anyone would want to perform that role.
  17. Morecombe are a good outside bet too, but realistically, now that the skates debt has been erased, they have such a bigger budget than the rest, and that will tell. Sadly.
  18. They will just squeeze their suppliers to **** to ensure profits remain the same, keeping unit price low, but they will probably put the prices up, because that will be in line with competitors, who will also be faced with tougher tax laws. I suspect however that they won't end up paying a huge amount of tax. The argument all these companies are taking is that they employ a shed load of people in the uk and the government and the people should be thankful for that and just let them get on with with making their billions tax free without further requests for tax.
  19. Tough season ahead The9. The shakers took 6 points off them this season and their promotion means that won't happen next season. Christ, the path to promotion seems to have cleared. Seriously though, with their budget and the fact their **** players are out of contract and their better players retained, they will challenge under Cook.
  20. good time to become a RN reservist me thinks.
  21. likewise. I didn't think it was up to much until that joke unfolded. Not quite hit that same height since, but love the `gentle' comedy Kay creates. Phoenix Knights is just fantastic television.
  22. This with bells on. Players that are simply not willing to give up, ever, are willing to tackle on the floor with their head and run all day long both to and from goal are the perfect compliment to the technically gifted. A little part of our glorious rise from the ashes was lost when we let him go. Perhaps he wanted too much money, I don't know, but with Morgan likely to leave wasn't he the perfect guy to fill that huge void?
  23. Clyde possibly leaving and the toilet thief out of contract in the summer. Gulp.
  24. In my eyes, any `English' party with seats in Scotland (not simply Labour) was going to lose them simply because the Scots felt as though they were betrayed by the English parties after they started backtracking on the pre referendum promises. Maybe some Scots can enlighten us on that one.
  25. how does PR work with regards to the independents? If their total percentage vote for say 50 candidates only adds up to say one seat. who would get that seat?
