he he. They are going to struggle to offload him on anyone after the season he has had.

my point was that you post so much on here and you argue your points to the xth degree that your opinion at times comes across almost as the majority not the minority view. Just as an example, it feels to me that about half are for and half are against Mellor. I bet there are probably five times the number of people against than for, but your regular posting evens it out. By the way just because three or four posters differ in opinion from you doesn't mean its you vs the rest of saintsweb. The vast majority of saintsweb don't post, are undecided or are just keeping their powder dry.

McGugan has been linked with Newcastle. He looked a quality player last season. No chance. I'd of thought none of Forest players remaining would make a sideways move apart from maybe Moussi. Camp to Swansea. Forest are linked with Routledge. He'd be a decent replacement for Alex should the worst happen.

wonder if any journalists will pick up on the hypocritical comments? They really do make him look like a plumb.

30 in 115 games (or which 65 were starts).

and he's saintsweb and he hasn't. I love this `me against the rest of the saintsweb' thing you have got going on, except its ********. Some posters like him, some don't.

you are saintsweb and you haven't.

I've been to all four Saints Terriers games since we went down. Their whole side was lively in the first game. He got two but I don't remember him standing out. We were woeful. He did jack **** in the return (once we actually had a defence), got 10 minutes last season at their place and didn't play in the return. Difficult for me to assess him. What kind of player is he? Looking back over last season he seemed to be the guy they always subbed and he was often on the bench. He still scored 20 goals, which is a very good sign, but he was taken off after around 65 minutes (or even at half time) a fair amount if times. Should we read anything into that?

there seems to be lots of effort to stop supporters abusing the system. Perhaps that's why there is no time to post out season tickets ordered on the web.
-
they must also have systems in place to protect the data in terms of security and best practices.
-
I'm not sure what you are saying. Do we `need' a CB and striker or not? What should our ambition be? DJ Cambell almost got in the England squad, I'd be surprised if he didn't get a move to someone in the top flight. If he doesn't he's a great shout.

Bestest fans in the WorldTM, for sure.

ever thought that those idiots that wasted their breath about Owen night not be the same posters happy for an Antonio return? 21k posts suggest to me that you form a considerable part of the saintsweb collective that you are mocking. Actually between you and Turkish, there seems to be more mocking than debate on here. Give it a break for 5 minutes and tell us who you think we should bring in.
-
you either mock posters for suggesting player that are too good or mock them for suggesting players that are not good enough. Who exactly does fit in between these guidelines of yours?

the concept of us waltzing straight through the NPC is also laughable. as for him `deserving' a place in our squad, for all the criticism of loanees, this fella was terrific. He was in and out of the side, but whenever he got his chance he gave his all and turned in some excellent displays. I think he had one bad game against Tranmere and he was written off by many after that. Did you go to Bristol Rovers away in the cup? http://www.footytube.com/video/bristol-rovers-southampton-nov06-26961 he was magic. I've not enjoyed watching a player as much in years. Perhaps that's why I and other are sentimental. You're right he is not a premiership player, but even Fonte might not make that grade. For £50k (the price originally talked abut) he'd be worth a punt in the NPC.

Jimmy Kebe was one of the best players in the Championship last season. Hardly surprising Antonio struggled to get a game.
-
and would you sell him to Millwall or the skates if you had a choice?
-
seems about fair for someone that scored 15 goals in the second division last season.
-
Not sure I understand that `joke' on this thread.
-
Is Forte a wide player? The comparison between him and Antonio seems pointless unless he is. If Antonio was available for 50k again then I think even despite having gone up, he would be worth a punt. He clearly has his faults - ball control being one of them at times - but he offers something very different: immensely powerful and pacey direct running. Would it be effective in the championship? I think it might. Whether we need him or not I guess depends if you are happy with Guly playing on the right in Alex's absence.

the club is being run by a banker. I'm generalising here and it's not a criticism, but bankers and marketing don't tend to mix well. Evaluating the effectiveness of PR and advertising and the return on that investment can be very difficult. Bankers just tend to see the marketing costs on their profit and loss sheet and it is very easy to cut that from the outgoings. In the short term a business tends to not be affected by this, but long term can be a very different matter.

how about Magaye Gueye on loan from Everton?
-
I wonder if he is any worse than Sharp too. Seem very similar sort of players.
-
yep. Pace to burn. I'd much prefer him to Sharp. A genuine threat.
-
better hope we don't get too many pens, cos that has to be worth 6 or 7 for the season.
