Any chance this will ever be taken to an away game?
-
he had a nightmare for them last season and most skates would drive him to his next destination. Mind you, our scout might have seen him when he had his odd decent half hour.

Linked with QPR now http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/QPR-take-Daniel-Gabbidon-on-trial-after-West-Ham-release-eye-Southampton-Jason-Puncheon-in-500k-deal-article772506.html

He's not the sort of player any of those clubs would sign if you ask me. The established Prem sides are aiming higher and the promoted sides have bought or got better. The only reason the money is like that is that there are very few decent strikers out there that NPC sides can attract is there us a supply/demand thing going on. If you (Prem side) were going for a pacey little striker than DJ Cambell makes much more sense than Maynard seeing as he proved he could do it at the top level and is available for around £1.5m,

Lawrence was possibly their best player last season. When he got injured their run of wins stopped. I'd also be surprised if he moved to another Championship side.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_7044653,00.html he's not exactly going the whole hog, but certainly murmuring about the situation. All good as we might be competing with them on certain players for all we know. Anything that weakens other NPC sides is good.
-
Has Routledge joined Leicester yet? £1.5m is a decent price all be it with a huge wage to support as well no doubt.
-
there will be at least two or three posts saying they like or hate it I'd of thought.
-
there was a rumour a while back that Schneiderlin was homesick. Bringing a bit of France to us can't be a bad thing so long as the two get on.
-
if one comes in one would have to go out. Four centre backs is enough.
-
He has been absolutely outstanding in the two season with us and played a huge part in our promotion and you call him a liability? How many headers did he lose all season? 5, 6 perhaps? How much do you know about Morgan? For my sins I watch Forest a lot (brother in law is a fanatic Forest fan) and Wes is prone to the odd clumsy oaf like moment himself.
-
We already have our own Wes in Jaidi. Next summer perhaps.
-
should we go for either?
-
the darts player from Blackpool? Wes Morgan?
-
I hope not, but fear you might be right. As Alan Sugar once said, with all the sky money fans could watch for free if the clubs wanted. If we ever did get promoted we could be realistic with wages and keep ticket prices the same as in the Championship. Never going to happen. A club might possibly do that, a football business never would. That's the one disappointing thing (boy I know I am being unrealistically greedy here) about Marcus saving us is that he didn't appear to have any intention of turning us back into something resembling a club, even eventually giving the club away to the fans. Perhaps it was for the best, can fans and those people appointed by fans to run it (Barca Style) ever be trusted?
-
also seems a lot for a football business that lost £7m in the last set of accounts. Mind you invest when things are going well might be the idea. The Connelly new deal muddies the waters. Will he play all season, where does Barnard fit in, what if Lambert gets injured, if Guly the cover? Can the new striker play with Barnard/Connelly?
-
Oh that fella. No it was never announced on the OS.
-
Sharp/Lefondre? One has been in the championship, one league 2, but are they much different in terms of ability? I've not seen LeFondre live to make that decision. With regards to signing a striker, isn't Sharp very similar in style to Barnard and Connelly? Would we be looking to offload Barnard if another comes in or is Adkins thinking we might be able to play without Lambert? Sharp and Connelly. Is that ever going ti work? Barnard and Connelly certainy didn't in that early game last season.
-
so your owner spends £90m on a stadium and puts the prices down? That is terrific. What next, reduced ticket prices when you get to the Prem because the sky money enables it? I'm glad he has been rewarded by you selling out. Keep in touch, I'd be very interested to know about other policies (good and bad) brought in.
-
also you don't go to Turkey unless they are offering you a big old wage.
-
£3.25m for Sharp seemed incredibly high to me.
-
very good point. Remind me who the scout is and had he been watching players abroad in advance of joining us?
-
as I said, it improves with every use.
-
I agree with that. Arsenal fans calling for his head have such short memories. Mind you if we had £1000+ season tickets then I think I'd probably have an equally short memory.
-
Your very own`has Skacel signed yet?' post gets better every time you tell it.
