loved his desire when at Leeds and he can play a bit too. Has he forgotten how to play up front I wonder?
-
sure was, no doubt that deal (and the Richardson one) was done months before. Not so sure deals will have been done this time round as we were unsure what league we were going to be in and a few transfers probably depend on players (Gobern and Puncheon) leaving.
-
28 actually, according to the OS
-
good idea. Just to get to out of my system #63 (Norwich did it for £399 last season so surprised ours have risen to £465) and #28 (a 40% rise takes the ****)

I'll no doubt moan for a while, before eventually shrugging my shoulders and buy one.

Swiss tour started on the 10th July last season so around that time I guess. We had Richardson and Dickson by then, but Butterfield signed the week after. Guly came in on the 23rd August.

I don't agree with that. Cork and Surman were too samey when they were asked to play in centre midfield. They both liked to push on, but at times that cost us as we looked lightweight down the middle defensively. Cork looks like he is still willing to push forward these days and he certainly looks like he has an engine on him so I'd of thought he be a good foil for Morgan.

I agree with that. I go pretty much every week, but I can honestly see myself stopping completely should I not renew my season ticket. I just can't see myself going through the hassle of buying a individual match day ticket, paying a booking tax and forking out 30 notes to see a NPC game. Also if I don't go, I wonder how soon it will be before the two guys I go with stop as well. They both have very young kids (girls) and little spare time on their hands. It will be easy for them to find something else to do on a weekend. The idea too that ST holder income will be replaced by this army of matchday ticket buying supporters is ********. When you lose a ST holder you lose a 23 game a season man for the next ten, 20, 30 or 40 years. That is a lot of matchday ticket buying.

In my eyes they were realistically priced for the last two seasons and now they have redressed the balance so we are in line with the many other overcharging football businesses.

Fielding had a shocker distribution wise and got worse as the game went on. he made one great save but almost let a simple one through his hands. Cleverley looked decent to me when he came on. He was busy and looked well up for the game and instilled some much needed enthusiasm into the second half. Lansbury looked OK in the hole, but a tad casual and certainly no better than Lallana. Pretty boring game. Friendlies suck. Free ticket though so you might as well.

it adds a nice big fixed asset to the clubs accounts that can only help when it comes to selling the club.
-
Are you saying that those players will only leave if the club knows it will replace them with better? That's a bold statement. Players hold the power these days not the clubs, so if Chamberlain or whoever force a move we're not going to hold them hostage to their contracts. And if Alex leaves I am struggling to think of a player we could realistically bring in that is better.
-
Is this a clever way of getting the most vocal fans to move to the chapel?
-
will they ****. We didn't often sell out in the Prem never mind the CCC, so no one will "replace" the income from a lost ST holder.
-
he and his agent are quite clearly touting for business, so to speak. In short if you are not in demand (looks like we don't fancy him) you look to create demand (as he clearly wants out) by undertaking good PR.
-
fair point, but Chamberlain IS a better player IMO at 17 than Walcott was. It matters little. All that matters right now is whether he will be a Saints when he gets his first England U21 cap. He will tear the NPC up make no mistake.

a 20% rise would have made a goal/wing ST renewal just under £400. I'd of been perfectly happy with that.

Millwall and Burnley plotting swoop for Saints' Seaborne
Chez replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
Seaborne is pacey and is decent on the ball, having a left footed CB also helps a great deal. His problem is he simply is not strong enough in the air. He doesn't bully strikers. He gets bullied himself. If he could harden up a bit then he'd be excellent. -
maybe, but he quickly recognised that N'Guessen, Forte and Stephens weren't better than Pardew's signings so by and large he didn't play them. Jury still out on him in terms of his ability to sign talent in my book. Mind you January is never an easy window, so this summer and the season ahead will be the real acid test.

try a different thread then.

A few people have a fully justified (IMO) moan about huge price rises and you find that sickening? Weird.
-
I know this board and football is all about opinions and you are entitled to yours, but my opinion is that I've never read so much tosh in all my life.

or got a shirt sponsor and not paid Cortese £750,000 a year. I know I like a good moan, especially when it comes to parting with my hard earned, but I honestly thought season tickets would be £399 for the wings. Very disappointed and wonder where it will end price wise. If returning to the Prem means £750 season tickets...
-
no, obviously not, but the combined increases over the last two seasons come to quite a bit more than 30% though don't they?
