he is quality, but he needs to stop thinking he is a million miles better than every oponent. He dives in for everything. Every now and then he comes up against a touch of class and he needs to jockey a bit more.
-
he certainly played well in the game he returned back into the side despite fans looking to jump all over him if he did anything wrong. Althought it perhaps was more along the lines of him thinking to himself that he'd rather pass it quicker so they don't moan at him adn that was exactly what we needed - less ball hogging. I was told that he acts like a billy big balls, but then again he's a professional footballer, many tend to act like that don't they?

brought Chaplow to the club, who subsequently has been our best player and got rid of Wotton and Pulis and Puncheon - pretty much the fans-in-general pet hates.
-
in what way? I love how fans are able to determine players feelings from their performances.
-
funny that he is chastised for what he is supposed to have worn, yet pretty much all of the fans that have turned up are in teeshirt and shorts.
-
The fact Jack Hayward is still alive, and Chris joined Notts County not Stockport, is just the start of the errors in this `story'. There were much more serious rumours as to why he was shipped out of Wolves.

I give up with posters that can't understand that those wishing he stayed are not the same people who previously posted saying how **** he was.

The entirely speculative 'replacements for Puncheon' thread

it never ceases to amaze me the complete and utter lack of understanding of people that watch games on a regular basis. I know the game is all about opinions, but some are worth diddly. -

Let's do what we should have done two summers ago and get Dany N'Guessan in. Currently on loan to Scunny. -

IMO he can't. He's a central midfielder pure and simple. -
don't agree with that. Only a lack of supply has undermined a couple of displays. I do agree with you that its a shame to lose Puncheon.
-
skill? Blimey, I doubt there's many league 1 players with his skill. Mind you its applying it that matters.
-
a few below par games just like any other wideman. But in general his laid back style just grates with some fans who choose to ignore the decent things he does and then jump on his back as soon as he does something bad. I thought he had turned it round to be honest. He started passing quicker and he had a very good game against Tranmere. But once fans have made their mind up its very hard to turn them round and Chamberlain was a revelation straight away.
-
he suggests Lambert is in a huff with Cortese bacause he was offered a contract extension that didn't include a pay rise.
-
I thought we counted in multiples of 1. 125 year anniversary is a load of ******** IMO. I couldn't give a **** if nothing is done to celebrate it.

Puncheon wasn't nearly as bad as some like to think. At this level he was good and suggestions that we'll replace with someone better lead to me to the obvious question, who is this better player? I'm concerned that we are now very reliant on Chamberlain. He's is fantastic, but I hope he stays fit because Holmes, Dickson and Lallana are all left sided players.
-
goals from our strikers would help though.
-
very accurate description. Reminds me of the stick Fabrice Fernandez used to get, the difference being that Puncheon tackles. He has a fantastic first touch, but that extremely important facit of the game is totally ignored by many fans at SMS.
-
he might have looked at the squad and thought he wouldn't need to spend anything. Hasn't quite worked out that way.
-
it appears his agent hasn't hung around finding him a new club.

either your memory is appauling, you don't like him or your glasses were fogged up mate. For starters many of BT's goals came from pens, free kicks and headers and had nothing to do with Brettie. Brettie clearly worked hard and created ther platform for BT to do his thing and he set up one or two as well no doubt about it, but in he 02/03 and 03/04 seasons BT was in one of those spells where everything he kicked went in and it wouldn't have mattered who was playing next to him - he'd of still scored goals. As for BT not working hard, that is a load of rubbish. He was a big lad that obviously wasn't sharp on the turn, but he ran in straight lines all day long, jumped for everything and lead the line tremendously well. The fact he didn't score goals during the first couple of years (6 in the 98/99 season) yet still retained his place and won player of the season (98/99) shows exactly what the fans thought of his work rate. It was right up there with the best.

sunny Carlise, get in.

Murray still claims that it's SFC that are banning him and not DataCo. This Murray/Cortese batte continues...

things were thrown at the skates, but the question I would have is were the people appearing in court those that threw things? The Daily Echo reports on evidence being given describing the scene as a whole, but from what I have read so far there is absolutely nothing describing these guys specific actions. I think I'd be pretty miffed if I was sent down for football hooliganism merely for shaking a fence and shouting obscenities at rival football fans. If ther is hard evidence of them chuckign stuff then so be it.

is it worth £13m?
