  1. he just needs to be nastier and win more headers. Whether he can do that I don't know. Strajge signing as there were better alternatives.
  2. Harewood is in talks with Huddersfield. £8k a week apparently.
  3. skate commentating on the skates. Should not be allowed.
  4. neither. Just saying that booing does effect players.
  5. its not a club anymore.
  6. I could not agree with you more. The whole point of going on the club bus is to save you a few bob.
  7. does this completely irrelevant and totally unimpressive post allow me to deride you with the term `Uber fan'? IMO you are a hypocrit. The club don't buy players and all I hear is you moaning about it all summer long. Yet now, just the mearest hint of a moan against the management and you suggest ML can't be expected to bankroll the club. of course he can't and that's why we haven't bought anyone yet because the right quality player has not been available at the right budget. So should he stick his hand in his pocket or not Alpine? I respect the dedication of any overseas fan such as yourself and appreciate how hard defeats are for fans that are not at games, but don't come on here preaching to die hard fans that have backed the club with their support and hard earned for 20, 30 maybe 50 years or more about baulking at these previously unheard of charges. Do you think Ted Bates would ever have charged fans to park at the Dell when following the side up to Newcastle? And before you say it, the club has always needed money to buy the best players, so the arguement that the club must run a a business doesn't rub. Besides my guess is that fans are happy to pay for their ticket or season ticket and support the side. What they don't want is to face poxy additional charges (stealth taxes if you like) right, left and centre including paying to park in a car park no one is using, and because they are backing the team. How about you stick to threads that affect you? When they double the price of those ****ty replica tops and your kids are nagging you for three I promise not to come onto that thread and tell you to "suck it up, ML can't be expected to bankroll the club forever". How does that grab ya?
  8. I'm loving your post, you're describing a kind of club, a football club if you like.
  9. no it wasn't. But one or two respected posters suggested as much thats all I was saying. I have to say I think you have a bit of a cheak suggesting that I should put my moans to one side about these supporter taxes as we can't expect ML to keep forking out, yet on the other hand you moan all summer about a lack of spending. I put it to you that if the quality of player we need is not there at the right price we can't buy them yet I believe your argument is that we should have got the players in come what may. Well that's OK if you can throw money at the problem, but that would of course require a cash injection from ML. Buy the way I would imagine about 25-50 die hard fans will be affected by this. I should imagine these fans will do their best to find a free alternative so all this will do is make following the side more difficult. The term Club should be removed from the name. Southampton Football Ltd makes more sense to me.
  10. Spot on and maybe they will do that. I hope so.
  11. No doubt the £10 away fan parking fee will hit you hard. Is ML subsidising the club? I seem to recall one or two posters suggesting we might be breaking even without a cash injection.
  12. just of of interest do you go to many away games or use the travel club? I do so love posters that tell others that they should suck it up when they themselves don't feel consequences of these decisions. This idea that its perfectly OK to squeeze every last penny out of fans is getting out of hand. Are you a ST holder? I'll assume you are. Let me put this to you. NC gets rid of all these little taxes and instead double the season ticket price. How would you feel then if fans that never go to games were on here posting "the club needs to make as much money as possible so suck it up"?
  13. I notice you write inner City rather than city centre, because beleive me not a single person would ever park there on a Saturday for another other reason than to watch football. As for the second part. Perhaps people will drive from somewhere like Fareham and then will be catching the coach up to Huddersfield. Simples.
  14. if we have lost are you suggesting Pardew should or maybe even must be sacked?
  15. whether it makes money or not the decision has made us look like t w a t s.
  16. the Rooney thing in the World cup suggests it does get under their skin, especially if they think they have tried their best, if only to fail.
  17. I think by now we all get it that you don't rate Antonio, but your dislike of him is such that you are now even exagerating the performance of Puncheon to justify your opinion, IMO. I like both players by the way, but both have their faults and one or two of Puncheon's showed up on Saturday. As I said previously on this thread, I'm sure he will shine this year, but its is important that we have real competition for places to keep him on his toes. He is a real teachers pet and Pardew needs to push him a little bit more IMO.
  18. I honestly don't know what you mean by that. Can you expand on that please.
  19. spot on, and I'm referring to the main part of your post not specifically the last part.
  20. coming inside does not constitute beating the fullback. He never beat the fullback in the first half. You are far too generous to him. I guess you see the same things as Pardew. Both need to take a second look. You are right though, he is left footed so getting to the byeline means he is going to have to cross on his wrong foot. So I wonder why Pardew play hims there. Everyone knows that crosses from the byeline cause the most problems for defenders. He's a good player - I saw that a couple of years ago when he ws at Barnet, but he can do more and needs to in games like Saturday.
  21. could not give a **** about the JPT, and unless we sneal through I feel the same about the league cup. The league is all that matters this season (although I do expect us to put out our best side for the FA cup as room is provided for those fixtures) Bart Butterfield Martin Seaborne Mills Chamberlain Wotton McNish Holmes Doble Lallana
  22. why are we redeveloping Staplewood anyway? I never really understood this. I always thought (anmd that includes whilst being in the Prem) that we had pretty top notch facilities already. Was that not the case?
  23. I didn't realise Richardson played or Krisztian Timar scored.
  24. if they get rid of Utaka, Boateng and Nugent surely their remaining wage bill is buttons? Jamie Ashdown Aaron Mokoena Matt Ritchie Marc Wilson Hayden Mullins Danny Webber Dave Nugent Michael Brown Marlon Pack John Utaka Tommy Smith Richard Hughes Kevin Boateng Nadir Ciftci Liam O'Brien Peter Gregory Paris Cowan-Hall James Hurst Tom Kilbey Gautier Mahoto Gael Nlundulu Callum Reynolds Joel Ward Ibrahima Sonko
  25. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Cotterill-keen-to-bring-in.6463836.jp I'm slightly confused as to why only "£7.5m has be generated now for the CVA" unless they mean £7.5m more if the £5m transfer of Ponce Boeteng goes though to Genoa
