yes. I was very much one of those people. Strange move seeing as he seemed to keen to move up a division.

very very interesting.

Coleman left but their chairman still remains.

Pele now available again

Holloway has already grabbed several `potential' Saints targets such as Philips and now he is going straight for our first team. B'stard.

Why on earth would you want a refund on your season ticket because there has been a change in manager? Talk about an over reaction.
-
It all depends on what league you are in and more importantly the side you have available at the time. The skates team in the Prem at the time of his appointment were in free fall. Getting wins at that time would have been tough for any manager. That said it might be tougher for me to defend his Forrest and QPR periods

When the skates sacked Hart the first thing I said was snap him up for our youth development. The guy is brilliant at that side of the game. As for management, the Skates fans turned on him when he looked to get a 0-0s (incluing against the bottom sides) in the season before last to ensure their safety. He achieved it, but most of the skates thought they should be looking to win games against the bottom teams not 0-0s. Personally I like the guy a lot. Despite the terrible constraints he was working under he never ever moaned. Contrast that with Grunt who moaned non stop from start to finish.

celebrating 125 years is a load of ******** in my eyes. 100 years, yes, for sure, 150 years maybe, 200 years definately, but 125? Pure marketing twaddle. The way the club has behaved over the last couple of months kind of vincates my thoughts on this with lots of decisions (whether you agree with them or not) that have created bad publicity and very few or none in my eyes that have enhanced the feeling of a 125 year celebration of the `club'. A new gold badge and retro shirt without a sponsor are perhaps just the start, and maybe come May I will have changed my tune, but as it stands I doubt anything planned will make me feel like I am part of a club. HAY HO, I'll just have to make do with suporting the side and hoping for glory.

Papa didn't appear to be a Pardew signing and as a result he didn't seem to ever trust him. To then have Guly possibly thrust upon him in the same way is bound to cause friction.
-
who are the support staff tat resigned? Can anyone confirm who these people are and their reasons for resigning?
-
is this forum being monitored by the bookies now?
-
yep, **** new shirts, season ticket fiasco, ticket taxes, fans spokesman banned, owner dies, press photography blackouts, Brazilian signing, manager sacking and all within just a few weeks. Proper soap opera stuff. You daren't take your eys off this forum otherwise you might miss something.
-
loving that idea, but how is he going to build his squad of 47 players in just two days?
-
timing allows the new manager, Zolo, if the rumours well before the sacking are anything to go by, to sign the players he wants before the window closes.

There were one or two occasions when the ball went up in the air and he didn't think twice, he just called it and made it his. That kind of positive action is excellent. He looks like he feels he deserves to be in the side. That confidence is perfect. I liked also that he picked out Hammomnd and Lambert a couple of times with low passes that got us moving quickly into attack. He's certainly not cultured though and a couple of slices showed that. But he showed some composure. I hope we see more of that. He's not quick. There was only one real test of his pace by Kaffor. He kept in touch, just, but then Kaffor megged him, he fell over but just got the slide tackle in. You can read that in two ways. Either he shouldn't get megged and worrying that better strikers might cause him real problems, or it was well done for showing real desire and doing enough to stop him. Another thing that concerned me was the long punts from their keeper seemed to cause us problems. It was windy so perhaps that didn't help, but centre backs should never get done like that ever. That hasn't happened since Jaidi was here. Fonte has to accept some responsibility yesterday and I guess they did just enough. There will be better opposition though. Finally we struggled to defend corners. This is a team thing, but with Jaidi we hardly ever conceded from corners. I'm not sure that last part is a criticism of Martin, but I want to see him dominating set plays like Jaidi has been doing. I am very encouraged, but we'll have to see how he does against the better oponents. If he keeps Sheff Wed quiet then we have the real deal here. I just wish he was just a little quicker. Moon on a stick. -
Plymouth fans might disagree with that. Hopefully we will see next season.
-
I will? Blimey, you can judge a player without seeing them and now you can predict how I will react to a potential future event. Darren Brown has nothuing on you. BTW you can have a squad of 25 all fit the entire season, but if they are crap players you won't win games. Luck helps of course (if you believe in it) but you suggested luck had LOT to do with last season. Total rot. Quality players was the reason we won games last season. pessamists tend to have low expectations.

played equally well in both games IMO, but Plymouth had a pacey and powerful fullback that negated his excellent dribbles, Rovers didn't. I think he is a cracking player, if he had just that little bit more pace he'd...not be playing in this league. Great signing if you ask me. -
perhaps so, but unfortunately for your weak arguement I was saying how good they were at the time. I based that opinion on what I saw not what I read third hand. The same paplies here with you suggesting the season was down to luck. Total ********. BTW you have to be right first before you go on about being right.

The other thing is that often doctors advise against operations and go for the rest option - which from experience does work. It clearly hasn't here. Such is life. A big loss and he showed his touch of class yesterday and as much as I like Dickson and his tireless running he doesn't quite have the guile. Other players will step up to the plate.
-
Very good point, seems strange that summer was not taken advantage of. Perhaps its not something that can be operated on?
-
laughable comment. We signed top quality players and played some great football mixing both long and short passing, strength and pace. Absolutely nothing to do with luck. You do talk some ****, but this ranks up there with your opinion on Lallana and Schneiderlin the summer before last.

Puncheon is like all wingers, he has good and bad days. Every time a winger gets the ball we expect him to beat the man and put a perfect cross in. Not easy that, so it is not suprising that some days it comes off and other it doesn't. We just need an option should he have an off day. I'm not too bothered if he fails to beat the man or makes the odd poor choice, what I do have a problem with is when a winger doesn't have the confidence to try again and again. Oh and track back of course. The other criticism I have had with Puncheon is dissapearing in games. He certainly didn't do that yesterday and I want to see that every week. With his quality on the ball he has to dominate games especially with Lallana out.
