  1. he was, but only because Puncheon was so bloody woeful in the middle that Pardew had no choice but to bring on Wotton. Pardew should have taken Puncheon off full stop, but he obviously prefers Puncheon to Antonio so he remained on the pitch. Antonio wasn't great that night, but he was about 65 minutes greater than the rest who went on to put on the worst display of the season barring perhaps Huddersfield and Swindon.
  2. in your opinion.
  3. Will SKY and the BBC not have to pay for the photos for their own websites etc from this selected company?
  4. would it not be cheaper for the media to buy them from the usual freelance photographers that take them (who then sell nationally)? We have effectively just become a middle man putting up the cost for everyone. Certainly that means income for us (if we sell pics to anyone) which is a good thing, but would it not be better to get our clubs image splashed across as many news pages as possible? League 1 sides don't tend to get that much coverage, but any publicity is good publicity. I suppose its a good job that NC hasn't got a shirt sponsor this season, prefering to charge fans more to cover the loss of income (forgive me for that cheap dig). If I'd sponsored the Saints shirt and then found out the club was restricting access to press photographers, thereby limiting exposure of my advertisement, I'd be ****ing narked.
  5. Saints have a photographer on staff? I doubt it. We will pay a freelancer to take shots for us.
  6. so have the Echo and NC made up then? If not then I'd suggest its just to **** them off further. Do Saints have a photographer on staff?
  7. is this idea just to prevent (or make it more difficult/expensive) the Echo from getting photos from the othernewspaper photographers? Would the Plymouth Herald (or any other paper for that matter) be able to make use of photos sent to them by supporters (who have sneaked a half decent camera in?)
  8. Mahoto is still a skate, although Pompey are currently negotiating his release. He was sold in January to Bastia, but the deal fell through. It's on the News website today.

    double swoop

the Antonio move reminds me very much of the Kenny Jones situation. He was nowhere near a Saints first team shirt and was loaned out to Sheff Wed where he was a revelation. They attempted to sign him during and after the loan, but we had him under contract and decided to keep him as we could see the potential. Sheff Wed never got hold of Kenny and I'm wondering if the same will happen here. Hope not, as I loved watching him last season (Tranmere game apart) and it would be a major fillip if we could get him back IMO.
  10. I'm not sure where all this confidence in Seabourne and Martin has come from. Seabourne has been pretty shaky and Martin has played two games. I hope they turn out to be top notch, but if we could get Craig Dawson then I'd feel more confident personally. Can't see that happening though as it looks like he can get a move to the championship if the buyer ups their offer.
  11. I was referring to Stephen.
  12. I wonder how bad his injury is that made him fail a medical. Not bad enough to stop us giving him a new deal obviously, but that appears to have worked in our favour. Very good news. I wonder where that leaves Forecast as we haev Pernicky coming through so do we really need Forescast as third string?
  13. I've been banging on about him for 18 months now. Pardew must have one hell of a target for CM if he can overlook Dawson.
  14. maybe its a blessing that the skates won this case and are now regarded nationally as the cheats that got away with it. Better that than a liquidated club that is reborn (as AFC Wimbledon was) to be widely supported by the footballing community (as AFC Wimbledon is).
  15. I never wanted them liquidated. The Derby games are the best games by far.
  16. right from the start I think it was obvious he didn't give a **** about the creditors. If he did then he'd have halved that imaginery £10m wage bill from his CVA plan and put the £5m in the creditors pockets.
  17. for all the stick Andriod gets from both ends of the M27, he has done a ****ing good job for his master.
  18. we played a lot more short passing stuff under the two Dutchmen, but it was so predictable and teams pushed on making it very difficult. Playing it long stretches teams a litte more and allows us the oppotunity to pass it round. We have a very good balance, but without Lambert as the figurehead we have problems as was shown at Gillingham.
  19. if we don't get promoted I couldn't begrudge Adam leaving on a free (tribunal fee). He can't languish in the third tier for ever. If we do go up I'd hope he'd sign for another year though. Another season in the Championship would be a perfect for his development
  20. Brian Hughes perhaps
  21. the White Star is probably the most expensive pub pint in Southampton. Very nice though if you don't mind paying a little extra. Right opposite is the Grapes, which is usually quite busy on a match day before a game as it has lots of TV screens. You've also got the Court Jester round the corner (no TVs in there mind).

    Pulis

unless of course the "option of another year" is his and not the clubs. Somewhat surprising we have bothered to give him a squad number if he was leaving, and also if he was to be released then wouldn't it have been the decent thing to do that at the start of the summer, enabling him the maximum time to find a new club?
  23. Blackstock/Earnshaw is their first choice strike force. Absolutely no chance whatsoever.
  24. sorry, I totally missed out on this silverspoons thing, can you tell mne what was promised and what you got just so I know what the **** you guys are talking about?
