if we have lost just a single ST holder due the short notice removal of the payment plan then its not hey ho IMO its ****ing bad news. Last years season ticket holders were supporting the club at its lowest point for some time. Those type of fans should all have been embraced by the ownership not treated with such total disregard.

A voice of reason at last.

Can you clarify what you mean about twaddle as I was certainly one of those unhappy with that decision. Are you saying that the posts suggesting this decision would not help fans buy tickets twaddle? Or was it the posts suggesting this decision went against the clubs charter twaddle?
-
Stu's estimations were wrong, but the fact remains the club handled things badly with the removal of the payment plan at short notice and no matter how you dress it up just over 13k season tickets is hardly a dramatic rise and one that would be totally expected given the change in quality of the side fans will come to watch.
-
is this a significant rise? It doesn't seem all that significant to me considering the side we have now (and the potential title challenge) compared with the side we had last July.

I am flumuxed as to what would be in a transfer policy that would ensure we got results midweek, in the north on muddy pitches like Hartlepool. A CCC right back, a League 1 team of the year rightback, or perhaps one of the best attacking left backs in league 1? No, OK, please enlighten me then.

I think when he went back there were comments made about his attitude. Having said that I think he started well before they played him out of position out wide and he struggled.

I believe Forest are trying to sign Simpson.

isn't he closer to their first team than Mellis?

blimey. I was just about to suggest Gael Nlundulu (again) as the skates look likely to pay his contract up so they can get a senior pro in, but your Gael blows mine out the water. Mine is perhaps more realistic though and from what I understand a very good prospect. With the pay off money in his pocket perhaps he would consider a much lower offer from us and maybe we can afford to give him the time to devlop that the skates can't. Whether he is good enugh is another matter. Anyone seen the skates reserves?

when will you ever get it into your head that its not championship manager. Getting the right player at the right price is far from simple. Anyone can sign a player, but do we want just anyone? Quite clearly we have gone for a number of players, some we have got, some we haven't. One of the main reasons we haven't is that we are trying to get Championship quality players into the club - Baily, Adomah etc. But Championship stadard players such as these tend to want to play in the championship or higher. Instead of always sighing at the `lack of progress' why not enjoy the transfers we have brought in a little longer that 20 seconds you usually do. You're like my Mrs. "Ooooh I just love these expensive new sofas Chez. All we need now is a new carpet..." sigh

if Scheiderlin gets injured we will have problems with or without cover. Getting someone in as good as him will be very difficult/expensive. Your solution?
-
to be fair that was his best ever game in a Pal arse shirt and he won't be playing up front for us. I'm with CEC on this. I like to see players before I pass judgement on them. I do wonder why Palace didn't resign him once their finances were sorted. If we only offered a one year deal it wasn't a case of them not offering a long enough contract. It strikes me they just didn't want him. I'm slightly dissapointed we have not signed a `flying' fullback like we have on the other side, but perhaps thats exactly the reason we didn't - to give us a little balance. Too many attackers leaves you short. I wonder who will get the shirt. Some great competition being created. A must if we are to win the league. Oh by the way, the wrong side if 30 means in your 30s. Doesn't mean you are passed it though.

He played the full game because there was no one else. Out of interest did he play out wide, because he played down the middle when he came onn as a sub last season.
-
Did he really? That's bloody great. Pardew is going to get us promoted.
-
Mokoena is **** and wants out, Hreidersson is crocked, Ben Haim has agreed to join West Ham, Wilson is supposedly wanted by several clubs, Diop has gone to AEK, Mullins has been touted around by his agent, Boateng will leave for certain, Utaka's wages are beyond them, Webber is crocked, Ritchie did nothing in League 1. Doesn't leave much does it?
-
it could be said that he has been unlucky with injury (and this could change) and he was blowing in those games because he was just coming back from injury. I'd counter that with the fact he did get back into contention and Pardew saw straight away thay that he was not good enough so didn't pick him (rather than him being injured). As for the blowing, he has done that in all the games I've seen him play. No engine.
-
depending on what payment structure Android is on, he might be more than happy with a further delay.
-
He doesn't track back enough and he starts blowing after about 20 minutes. If you think that constitutes `running his nuts off' and `giving 110%' then fine, the game is all about opinions, but personally I think he doesn't have an engine and I know he doesn't have pace. If he had either I'd be happy to keep him in the squad as he has a very good first touch and a half decent football brain. As I have said several times he played well at Millwall, keeping the ball well, but when push came to shove he still didn't beat his man or cause any threat whatsoever that day (compare how he played to how their two wingers played that day) - that is not good enough for a winger that doesn't track back enough.
-
have you seen either player much? Why was Shearer released?
-
I thought he impressed at Newcastle, so why would he drop down another division? No chance.
