I used to sit for a bunch of `older' guys at the back of the chapel for a while and they always used to sing that song at lest once a game. Everyone just stared.

Don't tell me Jenkins came inside too much for you? Benali gets in. One of the worst Saints players I have seen whilst we were in the top flight so perhaps Jenkins deserves a little leeway.

er, Rod and Ray were the twins, not Rod and Danny by the way Steve.

we've got tommy, tommy, tommy, tommy jenkins on the wing, on the wing Tommy, Tommy jenkins, tommy jenkins on the wing Tommy, Tommy jenkins, tommy jenkins on the wing we've got tommy, tommy, tommy, tommy jenkins on the wing, on the wing...

That late 60s early 70s side was one of the greatest in English football history. They reached so many finals and got so close to winning everything. Unfortunatey they were undone by horrendous fixture lists and some of the worst refereeing and lino work the world has ever seen. They were very physical and the likes of Hunter and Jack Charlton certainly didn't take any prisoners. But old big eads description that they won it through cheating was ********. They were a class act with some tremendous talents like Sniffer Clarke and Eddie Gray. They were extremely professional and pushed the rules to their limits - but that is exactly what every other side does now. So really all they were was ahead of the game. If you watch the Chelsea Leeds FA Cup final reply at Old Trafford you'll see that they were far from being alone in the rough stuff. Chopper Harris was a thug and no one says Chelsea won the cup by cheating. Revie was an amazing manager and the failure of the FA to acknowledge what he had acheived when he died still ****es Leeds fans off today, especially when Busby was treated very differently and ****s like Fergie get Knighted for one European cup win. Me Dad is a huge Leeds fan so I inevitably have a soft spot for them, but I enjoy nothing more than winning at Elland Road and in recent times I've seen us play them off the park. I look forward to the next visit, where I think we'll do exactly the same.

Far far too lightweight at the moment and not impressed me at all. I think he's going to need a lot longer than a month to develop into the sort of player that can make a real difference to us. The one thing we need to be careful over is not to leave ourselves too short for the JPT game as we don't really want to be overloading our first team with games.
-
Totally disagree with that. If you saw Thomas, Perry and then Lancashire all getting the run around by Huddersfield you'd have to conclude that we were absolutely woeful at the back. That same game would have also told you how weak we were at right midfield and how little pace we had up front. The total turnaround can be pointed completely to the Trottman/Jardi partnership who have put a stop to set peice goals conceded, prevented big number 9s from dominating games, and all but stopped teams from hurting us when they play up front for the last 10 minutes and hoof it forward. Better player in, better results produced. If AP had come in earlier he may have got these players earlier.

we all love Leeds, we all love Leeds

just 58 for me. Far too many trips to Villa Park and very few trips to League 2 sides.

meh, London's half way there. Some of us have a proper journey to get to the game. cheers. I have a ticket, but I'm looking for an extra one for a mate in London. He won't want to sit with the home fans.
-
Another Unit. When Jardi retires, ****tu would be the perfect like for like replacement. Talking of centre backs the lad King at Gillingham is worth a look IMO. He didn't play against us as he is on his way back from a serious injury but he was top class last season.

you'll find about 50 of those will actually travel from Southampton and the rest will live up norf.
-
thanks for the update - they sold out in 20 minutes. If anyone has a spare I'll happily take it off their hands right up to kick off really as I'll be in London village.
-
christ, does no one work these days? If anyone buys the last ticket can they let me know as I need one and was going o go at lunchtime.
-
this weeks pre match comments had AP saying I like a couple of MK Dons players. That made me feel there were a couple that he was seriously looking at. David McCracken looked a decent centre back to me, Easter is obviously a threat and I've rated Jason Puncheon during his Barnet days (I thought we should have gine for him) and he might be available to buy from Plymouth.

Lallana and Waigo are playing as wingers, they have done for a long time now. First you said Lallana was playing a second striker role and now you suggest he is just a midfielder. You seem to have a real blindspot with him. Is that phrase "same half narrow way" some sort of slight? You moaned about him and blamed him for our problems for yonks yet he has been absolutely fantastic in that role. Ever considered that you might just might be wrong from time to time, especially regarding Lallana? Wago didn't cause a problem by his lack of width, he caused a problem through his lack of penetration. Do any of you posts about our performance not refer to width? Don't get me wrong I think we have needed pace out wide and someone to cross from the byeline for a long time, but there are several ways to skin a cat as Lallana has shown. Check out Boyd at the Posh. Lallana plays exactly the same role as him. Wide left with liscence to roam. Both are top notch and hopefully Lallana can get us promoted like Boyd did.

Harte will be sacked soon and then we can get him in to get our academy back on track.

what a joy it was to see Darren Powell playing for Franchise FC at the weekend. At last I could express my complete and utter contempt for him as a footballer. What a terrible player. Has anyone ever seen any `footballer' with less footballing ability than him? It was an absolute woeful performance. His passing and decision making (he must have the slowest thought process in the world) were laughable. He appears to have lost another yard of pace and he spent most of the day fouling Lambert. Thank god we ran out of money otherwise I bet he'd still be at the club.
-
they are more like 4-1-2-3 and 4-4-2 The first looks like this: Wotton Hammond Morgan Waigo Lambert Lallana Waigo and lallana are playing as wingers that are required to get right up and down
-
I'm after another ticket if anyone has one going spare. I can't get to the ticket office or even call in tomorrow morning at 9. I'll try at lunchtime but if they have all gone and anyone needs to offload one let me know. Cheers.

I was directly in line and he was offside when the original cross went in. He may well have moved into an onside position when the ball was flicked on but the lino already had his flag up. I never left my seat when he scored. The flag had been up for ages. I think the people behind thought I was a Franchise fan.
-
great crossing but I don't think you should go overboard on the praise. Defensivley he still looks weak. He didn't get close enough to the wiger on a couple of occasions making it far too easy to get a cross in. I wasn't impressed with his tackling either. IN the past he has been evil in the tackle but he lost a few tackles I thought he should have won.

he will be here till the summer.

Lambert wins headers Stern didn't. What a massive difference that makes both offensively and defensively. It WILL be very interesting to see if he can do it in the CCC.
